A great class for those seeking the ultimate in martial arts training in Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do. My initial apprehension of would I fit in as a beginner was quickly quashed as Sifu Lak was very good at putting me at ease and I was made to feel welcome. I noticed other beginners were treated the same so if your thinking about joining I would say go for it! Great class run by a great teacher!
Brilliant… true to JKD, philosophy of the art, why and how it works. A good mix in the classes from beginner of JKD to intermediate to advance, as well as everyone there to learn and have a laugh. Lots of extra curricular stuff going on if you want, and no problem if you don’t/can’t. It’s a lovely family
As a beginner, I found JKD London very friendly and welcoming, it was more than just a martial arts school, it felt like a close knit family. This is because Sifu Lak goes out of his way to connect with his students and he’s very inspiring with his way of thinking. I attended the seminar with special guest Sifu Lynch a world class specialist in JKD, who came all the way from LA. The class was very professional but still fun and JKD helps to connect your mind, body and soul, which benefits you mentally, physically and spiritually. I’ve become more confident in myself at the end of the class and left with amazing friends. I really recommend JKD London if you’re looking to develop your self-defence skills and belong to a close knit community.
As a Wing Chun practitioner, this a great extension of my teachings and a great transition into, the art of Jeet Kune Do. Sifu Lak Loi has a great way of teaching and possessing the ability to break things down for everyone to understand to the point that it stays in you r head, no notes needed. This to me is a rare skill to get people of all different levels to understanding something that can be very technical. Great class, great school, and enjoying the journey so far

A perfect class to meet new and diverse people who all have a love for martial arts and bettering themselves both physically and mentally. Sifu Lak Loi is a credit to the linerage of JKD, his dedication thoroughness of the art is exceptional. As a human being he's helped better each and everyone of his students by combining his practical teaching with his martial mind power philosophy. This allows us students to not only practice hard within the dojo but also enables us to take these teachings to the outside world and apply them in our day to day lives. Perfect school for new beginners and intermediates looking for an inclusive environment to better themselves. All we ask is for you to leave your ego at the door
As someone who has grown up as a practitioner of karate, it was very refreshing to experience Sifu Lak’s Jeet Kune Do. I’ve never experienced such a closely knit dojo, very much emulating a family, I could clearly see that he takes the time to know every student on a personal level. Incorporating the philosophical genius of Bruce lee with his brutal martial arts, it was an amazing experience which I look forward to attending again.
Really recommend JKD London to anyone whether aiming to start a journey into martial arts and self mastery or just looking to improve fitness and gain confidence. Sifu Lak is an inspiring coach not just in terms of techniques but also in terms of how you can change the way you think to live a more rewarding life. The classes are in Moorgate and the location and facilitie are excellent; convenient for transport and always immaculately maintained. Also, the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming.
I joined in 2017 and its been one of the best things in my life since. I initially joined to learn martial arts and my love for Bruce Lee, but I gained more than that. I have made some amazing friends, a whole martial arts family and key teachings about life. Sifu Lak is honestly the best teacher I have had in life and a very good friend. The teachings are endless and every class has been exciting! I am hoping to continue my journey with Sifu lak and JKD for as long as possible! Peace and Love
