"The Broughton Arms is situated in a beautiful location, take a seat outside and enjoy the tranquil view of the Trent and Mersey Canal, popular with boaters and walkers. We’re a traditional family friendly pub at heart, offering a great menu containing all your favourite pub grub. You can’t beat a good fish and chips, our Hand-Battered Cod & Chips is battered using our ale of the day. If you don’t fancy fish we’ve got plenty more classics to choose from. Come down and relax by the canal on a nice sunny day whilst enjoying a pint of cask ale, a glass of wine or one of our soft drinks. We look forward to welcoming you soon."

Visited a couple of times previously, sat outside with the dogs, lovely next to the canal. Went today for a late dinner, had the bbq Chicken, Bacon and Cheese baguette served with chips. Excellent food for the price. Staff friendly and welcoming. Will return.
Really tasty vegetarian burger and cheese, leek and potato pie. Staff extremely welcoming and friendly and lovely relaxed atmosphere. Recommend.
Called for lunch here, it's a very nice pub. There's outdoor seating , but we chose to sit indoors. The staff were pleasant. The drinks and food were reasonably priced. We were a group of 4 and all had different meals, all of us enjoyed our meals. We all agree that we would eat here again.
I visited the pub to meet up with some friends who were staying overnight in their camper vans. Pleasant location, excellent outside seating if my visit had been in the summer. I had an excellent meal : steak pie, with chips and peas and then toffee waffle. The food was excellent. The bar staff and waiting on staff were efficient, good humoured and helped make the evening a very enjoyable evening. Definitely a place I would be happy to come back to whether with family or with a group of friends.
The pub has a very relaxed and homely feel to it. Lots to choose from on the menu. We really enjoyed the mains as it was hot and tasty just how we like it and we were able to make slight changes from chips to mash which wasnt a problem . The sweets we both had were amazing and clean plates / dishes says it all .The staff were very chatty and friendly and we will certainly be calling in again soon ....We have already recommend to friends and family that its a must visit ! Thank you for making us feel so very welcome ..
I decided to take my mum here for her birthday and we both said how lovely we found the pub, staff and food. We will definitely be coming back again and can’t wait to come back in the spring/summer and sit outside overlooking the beautiful canal. Thank you to everyone at the Broughton Arms for a lovely experience.
Lovely position on the canal. Great beer garden. Very friendly helpful staff, great campervan stopover just off M6. Good pub grub reasonably priced. Enjoyed our evening travelling from Devon to Scotland.
Great location overlooking the canal..Lovelyfire.Staff were lovely. Food good just typical pub grub. Large screen t.vs I would love to visit in summer and sit outside on the large patio area.
The beer is always good and never had a poor drink of beer at the Broughton , this time my mate and me had sausage and mash because I had had this once before and it was then really good , this time I am afraid it was not very good the sausages seemed over cooked not burnt though and the gravy had a greasy taste to it which we both picked up on . The sweet desert was very good , the waitress was very polite and professional . We have no problem going back for a meal here but it won’t be sausage and mash .
Lovely pub, lovely staff friendly customer's we arrived 5 mins till the food closed but they let us order cooked us a lovely meal and hot pudding x let my beautiful Granddaughter crawl around the floor not one moan just big Smiles. Then we stayed in their carpark for the night in the motor home woke up looking out on the river with ducks will deffo go back xx Thank you Broughton Arms xx
