Story

Brook's opened in 1989 and is owned by Savoy trained chef Darrell Brook and offers a nostalgic charm in an informal yet elegant candle-lit setting.
Polished floorboards in the separate bar and dining room are set off by neutral walls hosting a varied and personal collection of paintings.
Upstairs are comfortable lounges furnished with chairs and sofas so guests may relax over coffee and brandies.
Whilst in the dining room, wax crayons are provided to draw on the lily white cloths. The best ones are framed on the wall.

Visited Saturday lunch time for the first time and we were very impressed both by the food and the friendly staff. The atmosphere is relaxed and the Menu is not to busy. The food we had was delicious and well presented. Definitely worth a visit if you are ever in the area.
Fresh bread and pigeon starter were unreal, as were the pork belly and half chicken mains. Would definitely recommend! The food and decor now are more up to date, and the staff are good in an agreeably low-key way. All the food was nice, but the mains were much better than the starters which left me feeling a bit meh.
We've eaten here so often - it's a class apart from anywhere else in Brighouse. And then it went and got even better with its lunch deal. Consistently excellent food, friendly service, considerate table spacing and face covering policy... our absolute favourite place to eat in the area.
Delightful evening meal at this Brighouse eatery. Menu changes monthly and gives the option of multiple starters as tapas or more substantial mains. Food was excellent, service attentive but not intrusive and the star of the show....goats cheese profiteroles!
