Played here today with 2 friends after booking through the golfnow app, a very reasonable £35 each teeing off at 11.52am. Course was in great condition for the time of year, tee boxes and fairways were good but the greens were fantastic. Very well maintained course with good pace of play, no waiting or being rushed from behind. Shot 76 gross so was delighted. Definitely give it a go if you get the chance.
Another Foxes league match against Brookmans Park Golf Club, we lost the match 3 - 1. A traditional club lots of nostalgia everywhere in the club house, our hosts welcomed us to their club in a really friendly way. It's a parkland course with several long challenging par 4's, 5 x par 3's and 4 x par 5's, from the white tees it measures 6,487 yards. All tee boxes, greens and fairways are good quality playing surfaces. Today it played a bit longer as the ground was dead from recent wet weather, so it was a bit tough. Afterwards at the meal we had a Yorkshire pudding filled with roasted veg, mash and sausages, check out the picture of the food, delicious! I will return had a great day, on an old fashioned parkland mature course.
Brilliant course we'll maintained friendly staff and a well stocked half way house ran by Julie who makes incredible brownies , will definitely go back next year. The club house is very welcoming and the three course meal we had was excellent.
Fantastic venue for our family celebration. The golf club staff could not have done more to make this day special. Super food and service. Thank you all so much.
It's ok. The breakfast was the best part. The greens and fairways had been hollow tined and it didn't help when they seemed to be on every fairway. The greens wer bumpy as had just been sanded. As a green fee I wish they had told us before we drove there, but then they offered us a complimentary round so need to go back.
Nice facilities and decent course layout, however was really disappointed to find course had 6 temporary greens. This wasn't mentioned when we booked or before we went out. The green fee felt like a bit of a rip off to be having to play a third of the holes with flags just stuck in the fairway. Really ruined enjoyment of round and would check with them in advance before booking as greens didn't look they would be back in play anytime soon.
Great course, a bit heavy under foot, but that was due to all the recent rain. Greens were superb and a true read given the conditions, club house staff very friendly and helpful, every precaution taken to tackle covid. Would recommend this course to any golfer a good challenge.
Played 15th of July. First time . Greens very good, fast and tricky but rest of the course very disappointing, lots of ground under repair. A bit faded granduar. Rough was very long and generally the course needs lots of work to bring it up to a standard that justifies the green fee they charge.
Awesome layout , proper room to have a go , fabulous greens made this course a treat and the club cleaners on each tee , what an excellent touch. ....can't wait to return
Excellent golf course. Not too hill. Greens excellent. Fairways good considering lack of rain. Lots of white lines on fairways. Maybe should consider pick & place. Also booking direct is cheaper than county card. This should not be the case but 4 ball for £120 = £30 each is very good value
