Brookmans is the social hub in the heart of Brookmans Park. Fresh seasonal food, a good quality pint, well made coffee & great wine.

Story

We are proud to have become a hub for the local area, where we’ll be happy to serve you a great cup of coffee, a decent pint of beer or a glass of chilled champagne. Take a seat at the bar facing the door if you want to see and be seen, or find a cosy corner and settle into one of our comfortable armchairs. The eatery is warm and welcoming with its British Racing Green leather upholstery and hand-made silk lampshades. On the walls hang historic posters from the Metroland era when Brookmans Park was built, part of the hugely-optimistic garden suburb movement.

Always enjoy an evening drinking here. Sadly I can’t say we always enjoy the food. In fact only one in about ten meals has been up to scratch. Shame really, as the place is nice and friendly with a warm vibe, and it’s lovely to sit outside in the summer. The group, Peach Pubs, haven’t quite managed to get a consistently good staff in there so it’s really hot and miss. The current Manager is a friendly woman, but some of the bar and wait staff seem soooo miserable. Could be much better with a more modern menu, definitely with some vegan options, and the place definitely needs a little bit of live music every now and then. I have hired the private function rooms for a few dos, and they work really well. Just needs a spruce up and some more dedicated kitchen staff to be great again!

Lovely pub. Ben is very inviting. Always says hello. Highly recommend. Charlie is always smiling happy to help. Happy staff equals happy pub.

So excited for the much overdue refurb. I hope you find the room to now stock Fever Tree tonic, which is why we stopped visiting you. You are in an affluent area and we can afford Fever Tree!

Visited for Sunday lunch - the roast beef was ABSOLUTELY delicious, staff are friendly and welcoming and the music playlist in the bar awesome. Very child friendly - no rubbish kids menu, just generous half portions of real, good food.
