It's a lovely place to have a wedding and if you can sneak round the back to the ponds then there are plenty of great photo opportunities.
Hi I wanted to get Married here. Once soon a time. I met some great people who work here and unfortunately some not do nice people. So E say it’s a great place to get married, some just like the views. Interesting to find that people still face prejudice even in this day and age. Defensive over their property ? I don’t know. I’ve been around to s few other places like Sidcup and haven’t realized or have had that experience with is not to far maybe just a little further upwards to Bromley but hey you can’t be a begger and a chooser they say. Anyway Regards
I didn't go to the civic centre itself, but parking is good, it has an EV charging station though not very cheap and gate support 24/7 in case the gates don't open.
Quick 10 minutes stopover to get my first Covid-19 vaccination today. All done. Very quick indeed.
Visited for my disabled mothers spring covid jab. Good wheelchair access if the carer is fit. Excellently organised. Finished before her actual appointment time. Efficient, pleasant staff who made a fuss of her as it was her birthday.
Didnt realise until today there is a beautiful lake here! Beautiful grounds surrounding the centre. Deff worth a visit
Had an appointment booked and was seen as soon as my time came around. Receptionist was helpful and polite. My interviewer was very prompt knowledgeable and helpful.
Signposting is terrible - trying to find North Block Reception from the car park side is difficult as no map or sign shows where it is.
Good place to visit at the weekend, quite and peaceful.
Two hrs parking is free for vaccination patients - follow the signs obvious from the road see photo . From the car park it's a 50m walk max to the waiting area outside the civic Hall see photo. The way is poorly signed so allow time to find it. An attendant calls out appointment times and the patients booked for that time then follow signs for the main hall see photo. You must queue to be admitted and social distancing is required. Once in the hall your booking is checked at one desk then you move on to a second desk where more paperwork is done. Finally you enter another queue !! this time for the actual injection. Again social distancing required. When it is your turn you enter a cubicle with a nurse who does the jab and an administrator who processes your paperwork and, if appropriate, issues the vaccination card. The approach corridors and main hall have their doors open for a through draft. All staff were in masks. The operation was efficient and conducted without any emotion. From entry to exit took ten minutes. Self test kits are provided free of charge on exit. Personally I preferred the smaller, draftier, more human experience of the smaller venue where I had my first jab. If you found this information helpful then please like it. Thank you.
