Worst chippy I’ve ever ordered from large fish looked like a battered sausage and was not fresh fish was all mushy like it had been cooked from frozen. Sausages were dry like they had been under heat light for several hours. Chips were edible but cold. Honestly my sausage was bigger than my fish all food for my family £26 order going in bin and ordering from somewhere else.
5 stars because my kids like the chips from here and its the best one in the area. But why does it take forever to serve us a bag of large chips, i don't get why it takes so long for something basic like that.
I stopped at the Broadway Chippy on my way home from a 13hr shift tonight. This was my 1st visit and I can definitely tell you that this will not be my last - my other local chippy has been going downhill, so thought to myself I'm not losing anything - but OMG! The regular medium fish was ginormous, hanging over the plate! I bought a medium chips for 3 of us OK we filled up on fish! but there were plenty of chips & they were really nice aswell. The real testament was when my Dad ate the full fish & chips on his plate & his appetite nowadays is miniscule! Totally 100% recommend
Absolutely disgusting food & service! Spent £28. Large cod soggy, my sons unbattered large cod was full of oil. 3 large chips, most hard in the middle. My husbands kebab was fine but the rest a complete waste of money and all in the bin. Tried to call and tell them got a guy on the phone who offered a refund when a woman member of staff come on, she was very aggressive and basically called me a liar saying she only works here, what do I want her to do about it! What an attitude towards me! Would not recommend at all.
After highly rating Mellors months ago the last few times were disappointing, smaller fish and not as good so we tried the Broadway, so far so good, nice portions and lovely white fish. The peas a bit too green though.
Lovely fish and chips, we also had a couple of kebabs, the chicken tikka meat was way too salty though, which was a little dissappointing.
Lovely white fish, batter was a bit soggy in places,& yummy chips, will definitely use again
Chips and curry sauce with scraps, open. Lovely
Only called in for a bag of chips they were very good.no no about the rest of the food not trued yet
