Totally jazzed up since I used to live here. Lots of improvements in to the area's housing, parks, entertainment and eating out than back in the day. Like what they've done with the Town Hall, Windrush Square. Pop Brixton is nice to hang out, as is outside the Ritzy. Good for tourist visits.

Very busy, great market and choice of bars and restaurants
Bright vibrant area, lots of assorted eateries, bars, and coffee shops .
Easy to reach on the end of the Victoria Line
Quiet station but shops nearby open till late. Quick connection to victoria or central
Finally the escalators maintenance are finished. Very central. Good bus services outside the Station. Be aware of pickpockets thieves they operate at this Station inside and out. Specially when using the ticket machines or running to get into a train. Otherwise clean station. Good lifts for less able customers. No toilet inside. Nowadays trains are great. One comes, one goes. Handy for the overground, but no link bridge. You will have to exit the station. Next door is the Electric Avenue, with it's markets, and heading behind the Station, lots of small restaurants from all over the World. Groceries, clotting and for food.
I have started my journey in Brixton. This is a strange place full of strange people. Everything is new to me. A man outside the station offered me drugs in exchange for kisses. The station was very dark when I got in the tunnels. I don't much care for it. I hope the rest of my journey has as much spunk as Brixton.
Very busy but you can find anything you want there
