They let me go because they didn't train me and never helped me when I asked for help. Don't go here. They just threw me on to the till without any experience and they didn't give me my own pin and password which they admitted that it was their fault in a sense. It isnt my fault that they didn't train me. They could of trained me and could of taught me to use the till or given me something else to do.
This is one of the best charity shops I have ever experienced with a wide range of books, music and DVDs. Volunteering for this organisation for over 7 years has been a useful and worthwhile experience during this time and I have gradually expanded my working time since joining in 2016 from 2 hours a week to a whole day as practice makes perfect It is always well worth the challenge put upon us by the generous volume of donations received for a worthy cause.
Please update opening hours. Not open until 6pm.
Beautiful store with a fantastic selection of books, graphic novels, vinyl CD... if you’re after music in any old format this is the place to go. On the book front - it’s got everything from brand new releases to the classics.
If you're looking for books, vinyl, CDs, cassette tapes or music in any 'old' format, you should consider supporting the British Heart Foundation via their Books & Music charity shop. I found wonderful vinyl in excellent condition and the man who works there at the weekend had a great depth of knowledge. Grab a bargain, and give to charity - it really is a win-win!
Fantastic place, especially for books. I like looking at the staff picks and arts and music section, and I always find a fiction book I want to read there.
Not than before. More expensive than in amazon and not really a good selection of items: very difficult to find something that can catch your eye. They have to remember it’s a charity shop, not a ‘rare bookstore’.
Massively overpriced shop these days, but it used to be good when the staff didnt check everything on their phones. Good selection of items but be prepared to pay ebay prices for most if not all items!
Great place to browse a large range of books, dvds, cds, vinyl, graphic novels etc. Very fair prices.
Worth checking out, found a copy of a book I lost years ago in the window in the Halloween display.
