The worst council I've ever had the misfortune of having to give thousands of pounds a year to. Want to speak to them? Take pleasure in their confusing telephone menus that will lead you on a merry chase before cutting you off entirely! Enjoy their 30 minute wait times- while you pay for the privilege! Want your hard earned money to be spent on education, helping the less fortunate or making Bristol a better place? Watch with amazement as they fund million pound white elephant arenas that we don't need! Gasp in astonishment as they burn piles of cash on adding an extra bus lane across the city causing traffic chaos in several districts for a number of years before branding it metrobus and acting like it will help the city's crippling transport problems! Shake your head in wonderment as they continually give tender to a bus firm that is notorious for being unable to run a service on time and features customer service that could charitably be called "appalling"! BCC: absolutely the worst thing about Bristol. Corrupt, bureaucratic and self perpetuating rather than for the people. I spit on you Bristol city council.

The garden in front of the City Hall is a good place to lie down and rest. There you can see not only the City Hall, if not also the Cathedral and the Library.
