If you park here for the theatre or something similar, prepare to be waiting a long time to get out. Everyone has to queue for ages to pay on the ticket machine before exit although you can pay at the barrier but I can't imagine the people behind you will be too happy and then it completely bottle necks all the way up, half due to the fact the exit is so small and single lane straight to a traffic light. It took me close to an hour to get out from the 4th floor.nMy suggestion is to park as close to the bottom as possible.
NEVER AGAIN for an eveningnDon't park here for an evening out, we were at a gig at The Fire Station. Full until the 3rd level when we arrived. Hundreds of people leaving at the same time. It will take you ages to get out. Queue to pay, queue to get out. Waited 40 minutes so far and we haven't moved! Then you end up with loads of frustrated drivers, getting annoyed with each other! First level exits , then second etc. Took an hour to get outnJoin the car queue to get out whilst someone else joins the payment queue, still doesn't help. Unless you are parked on the exit level, I wouldn't park here for an evening
Loads of space, great payment system though some better instructions would be helpful. It registers your number plate on entry, you park go do your thing then, before you drive off, you go enter registration at the payment point and pay by card. It then recognises registration on exit and opens the barrier. Simple
Attended an event which ended at 10pm. Took two hours to get out from this joke of a parking! One pay machine per floor, people queuing for miles. Ages to drive out. Very dangerous also, in case of an emergency. Insane. Appalling. Never again
It is outside and there is a large new car park within three minutes walk from Sunnyside as well as two indoor car parks multi storyone on east side in St Mary's Way and on southwest side of Bishopwearmouth Green this attached to the Bridges
