Don't waste your time and money! Firstly, the majority of the staff need to learn to smile! The young gentleman who served us was lovely, polite, and friendly, hence why i've said the majority I've given the food a two star as mine wasn't too bad, I had the sweet potato curry although it wasn't overly warm, and you could tell it had been waiting a while to be served it was tasty. My 3 year old son's meal, on the other hand, was absolutely disgusting. I ordered him pasta with corn on the cob. He's a good eater, and even he couldn't stomach it. Again, it looked like it had been sitting there for a while and tasted like tomato soup with an overload of garlic and herbs thrown in. It was supposed to be served with 2 mini corns. However, it only came with one, and that looked like it was cooked yesterday!! I sent the meal straight back, hence why there's no photo. The young gentleman was apologetic and asked if he could get something else, I just asked for a bowl of chips instead. There was no other apology, though, or offer of my money back, etc! Appalling service!! £4.99 for a tiny bowl of chips!!! My nephew had the fish and chips pic shown below that wasn't much better, and clearly, he didn't eat the corn either. The kids had desert in with their meals - yep, the smallest ice cream ever!!
Wouldn't advise coming here at all. Ordered a burger that was supposed to come with coleslaw and bacon but came with neither. The side salad was a joke as you can see in the picture. No one asked me if this was ok, or even said anything when bringing the food out. When I asked the waitress where these bits were the response was simply "we've run out." If I had known that 25% of my meal was unavailable I'd have gone for something else.Another person on my table upgraded their chips to the chili topped fries, only for their burger to come out with regular fries and chili mix all over their burger. Even the receipt was clear that it was the fries that should have had the chili on top. This was replaced with a fresh dish but still not acceptable. Lastly the roast potatoes from the carvery were burnt but cold to the point that they were inedible. Go elsewhere, plenty of places who can actually serve what they advertise and get your order correct.
As we entered the restaurant it was lovely and clean with a good atmosphere. We were greeted straight away by a lovely smile from the member of staff behind the bar. Which immediately made us feel welcomed and part of the family. The menu is big, great value for money and caters for everyone and all ages. The food came promptly and was piping hot and freshly cooked, and tasted absolutely delicious. This place does refillable soft drinks And also accepts the blue light discount card. Def worth a visit.
No one to seat us when we entered, the lady was flat out on her own, clearing tables, taking orders. Appreciate lack of staff maybe cause for low review. Would have been good to have the process explained,e.g: have your cereal, fruit, croissant, tea, etc then I'll take your hot food order. No alternative to cows milk. Breakfast came quickly, eggs were on the cool side, the rest was hot. Place was clean, as we're toilets. Seats were tired and food stained, could do with being reupholstered. Ideal if with young ones as they eat free.
Great place, great food and the food was actually hot like a proper cooked meal. The Christmas chicken and ham pie was just the best, rounded off with Christmas pudding and brandy sauce. Made our day really nice with such nice food and lovely service. Thank you very much.
Awful experience. We ordered 2 sirloin steaks, well done and medium, with peppercorn sauce. Order came and no peppercorn sauce. My steak was medium rare. Totally raw. We complained, waiter didnt say anything. Just made it done again. There was not any seasoning in steak. No pepper or salt. Awful experience. At least it was cheap when it was 2 for 1. No way I would pay £15 normal price for that tasteless steak.
Nice enough place to visit but the food is very bland. Whats offered is a decent selection but lacks any real flavour compared to other places that offer pub lunches. The staff were all polite and helpful the only thing letting the place down is the quality of the food. Its not terrible but for the price it should be much better Parking: Parking is shared with a hotel, can be hard to find a space
We had Christmas dinner here, just gone and they excelled themselves. What on earth has happened since, dirty tables, cold food and tikka curry was extremely watery. Makes me very doubtful that we will book this Christmas. Not sure I want my day ruined.
Firstly, the staff are miserable as sin, every single one of them that we had to speak to. The food was disappointing. Especially the carvery with soggy potatoes and gravy that tasted off and really thin. Paid for extra and got less, go figure! The extra £3.50 for the soft play when you are spending £80+ on food, I found, quite greedy and def a first for me! Not a place I would go again in a hurry unfortunately.
Fantastic pub for the whole family to enjoy. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The range of food is perfect and the Sunday carvery was awesome!. The playroom for the children is spectacular. My 2 young boys thought it was brilliant. Pop in for a visit, you will love it.
