Micro brewery with friendly staff and good tasting beer. Their recent good taste stout ‘money for old rope’ is a tasty Smokey sweet stout - very drinkable.
Excellent tour today. Head brewer definitely knows his history of beer and how to brew a good beer.
Great little No actually reasonable sized find. Great range of brewed beers as well as loads of bottles of beers and spirits. We walked in and immediately got in to conversation with some good natured regulars and never stopped talking with them til we left. Tried 3 of the 5 on pump and loved them all. I go for the darker malt types. My partner mergers hoppy but liked his too.
Had a tour with Phil, very entertaining and informative! Looked after all us including drivers and a vegan. Talked for 2 hours straight and supplied us with plenty of samples. The Brewery Tap itself is very welcoming and had a great selection of ciders very helpful for our vegan friend! would definitely recommend, excellent value for money!
Good selection of beers made within a few yards of the bar as well as imported lager and other traditional pub drinks. Indoor seating for 50ish and a smoking garden. Decent prices, probably the best place to drink in Mitcheldean - shame it's not open more often!
Such a lovely place with a great atmosphere and extremely lovely bar staff. They were so accommodating and brilliant on Christmas Eve, a glass was smashed and a drink spilled everywhere and they gave us the means to clear up and a free replacement out of kindness. BRILLIANT.

A good independent pub that brew their own beers. They also offer various other beers from around the world. They have a food night on Thursday sometimes, have to book I think. Proper pub without a juke box. There is live music on some nights, with open mikes as well.
Amazing quality beers, every one a winner. My favourite is over a barrel, not on draught but available in shop in bottles. Draught beers a super reasonable £2.50 a pint.
Very helpful and friendly service, these people love what they do, beautiful ales and ciders brewed with care and attention, always tasted before served in the bar, great selection of spirits and bottled beers, lagers and ciders and soft drinks Lovely quiet place but always something going on regularly, pleasant atmosphere and smoking area has a heated lamp for colder evenings. Also usually a few board games such as Monopoly, chess, cribbage, scrabble.
