Disappointing evening at brewers today.. 4 adults 2 children.. my daughter and i ordered gammon and egg.. 40 minute wait which we were prepared for.. no cutlerly.. no napkins on table(48) meal arrived with burnt cinders off grill on gammon.. i had leftover chips out of bottom of basket( nasty little pieces) my daughters partner ordered a medium steak..when cut into it was raw.. i asked for a change.. waitress said that type of steak either rare or well done.so he said well done..it certainly was..burnt to.a crisp and looked like a sausage.. busy evening no excuse for a slip in standards.

Friendly atmosphere with a great choice of meals, light bites & snacks. The staff are efficient,helpful & friendly. Meals made to order & waiting times within 20 minutes. Child friendly with outdoor play & seating area.

Unfortunately having a manager who has no customer service skills is a major problem. When asking for someone senior as my complaint included him, he turns up. Having to prompt him for an apology due to staff not understanding the menu, really isn't acceptable. It's a pity that good old hospitality obviously is not part of the training

Usual Brewers Fayre menu's but the food was nice the price was good and the service is fairly quick. The best part about here is it is in a country park so there is a huge free car park and lovely views of a lake, there are lots of birds around including many swans who wander up to you when approaching the lake looking to be fed. The pub has outdoor seating which would be nice in fine weather. We visited in February so no one was sitting out, but I wonder if the birds may come pestering when dining outdoors.

Unfortunately one of our orders came a significant time after the others however the manager apologised personally and refunded us the cost of the late meal. Turned a negative situation into a positive. Good service! Thanks.
