Staff very helpful and friendly but they need training on current offers, pricing etc for meal deals so that they are consistent. Meal deal options should be to the max value allowed, regardless of internal policies, otherwise the companies paying are not getting full value for money as intended for their employees. Portions are generous, but cuisine could do with more flavour. The fish pie was the best of the pick. The 3 stars are for the staff and their welcoming attitude and willingness to help. Kid-friendliness: They have a kids play zone area Parking: Plenty of parking available.
Good food with fair prices. Quick service during a peak time, staff were very friendly and helpful
Great food, pleasant staff, meal deals on offer from 12 till 6pm Didn't have to wait long for our meals which were piping hot and really tasty. There's a lovely relaxed atmosphere and you don't feel you have to leave as soon as your meal is over. Drinks are reasonably priced and you can take them outside to the seating area if you're going for a smoke. It was our first visit here but we've already made plans to go back.
Cheap and cheerful weekday lunch out - we called here as I was aware they had a play area for our little one but unfortunately that was closed they mentioned it has just been assembled so not sure if they have had it down for something or whether they have had it replaced etc.... food was ok, nothing special but was good value for money. Weekday special 2 mains for £8.99. Kids meal £3.99. Cheap and cheerful.
We went here for breakfast. We paid £28 for all you can eat breakfast this was fo 3 adults and 3 children not sure if that is just a school holiday offer but because it is part of the premier Inn chain I think it may be 1 child eats free with every paying adult but check that out before you go. Have to say food was lovely lots of variety not just bog standard bread for toast either there were pancakes, bagels and crumpets. Free refillable hot drinks plus fruit juice. The staff are polite and nothing is to much trouble kids loved it Give it a try
Great place for children! Play area near the eating area makes it great to meet family with children. It's a standard pub with reasonable prices. It's just what you want if you want to get the family together. Had a lovely time. ThanksFood: 4/5
Can recommend the fish and chips. Decent menu. The staff were warm and friendly. First time that I had visited this pub and will definitely go there again.Food: 4/5
Smashed window in the kids area with nothing covering it. Safety? Na. Ordered a platter and wasn't told some of the items on it weren't available. Steak cooked to almost the opposite of what was ordered. Had to ask for sauce that is included - given a thimble worth. Had to ask for more just to dip the steak alone. Food was cold on arrival. Prices are marked off the menu and prices nearly 50% higher are written over. Drink options not as varied as other brewers fayres. They have a clear window directly into the women's toilets... But a frosted window with a corner for the men. Did they not think about this? Do they not realise women need privacy? At least frost the window.
Waited an hour before we was told the order hadn’t gone through to the kitchen. Spoke to manager who said “he assumed we’d eaten”. Food came 1.5 hours after ordering and was cold, and one plate didn’t have what we asked for. Too hungry to return it at this point but as someone who visited regularly I’ll never be visiting again.
AVOID!!! Booked a table for 20 of us, and we all booked a cavery for a Sunday, 3 weeks in advance! We have arrived and not only is there NO cavery left for us or anyone at 3.00pm but the food we did receive was horrendous. Food was hard and cold, not up to standard at all. I waited 50 minutes for ny food after we was told we cant have what we want. We will never eat here again and they have lost 20 customers today. The cavery is meant to be on till at least 5pm.
