I’ve rated a five start as the staff & the place it’s self is great, however to have such a place in central cardiff with no parking is a nightmare, we had to leave silly early to ensure we found a car park as the appointment was on a week day I wasn’t sure if these wouldn’t fill up with people working in area. Public transport to the area was extremely poor from where I live, it would have taken 4 buses to be able to get here. The closest car park as advised in the letter is Sophia Gardens car park, the postcode that’s provided takes you no where to this car park, it sent us on a wild goose chase, I’d advise to pin this car park on your maps and do it that way. The car park is pay and display, you can pay by card, cash or on your phone if you download the app so this was done with ease, also the letter advised that we’d be there all morning but thankfully we was in and out in an hour, we did pay for parking that covered us into the afternoon which costed us £10, just a little tip for anyone paying by the app you can extend your stay once you’ve confirmed it hour by hour, so to save yourself some money if you pay this way just start with 2 hours and extend it as and when : also this saves stressing out if you feel time is getting on and your about to use up the time for your stay! Hope this helps someone heading down here and takes abit of stress away from the journey

After having a recall and being very worried, all of the ladies from the reception through to the doctors were very kind, considerate and reassuring. They were all very professional and not once did I feel uncomfortable. I was constantly kept informed and the care was second to none. Thankfully I was one of the lucky ones. But I would like to say a big thank you to all who work there, for providing this service and doing such a wonderful job.

Booked a test for my wife but missed the first appointment due to health issues. Subsequent appointment arranged but this was delayed by BTW for about 6 months and then rearranged twice by BTW.  Attended the appointment but there is no parking available at BTW and almost all surrounding streets are resident parking only. If you live in Cardiff this is less of a problem since there are bus services, from outside Cardiff public transport is dismal so attending early morning appointments is realistically done by car. Poorly thought out service provisioning by NHS Wales.

I was extremely scared, after having a letter, to return to the clinic after my mammogram. The breast care nurse , spoke to me ,before my appointment  and was very calming and it helped to know what area they were checking, as the standard letter gives no insight. I arrived for 8.30am appointment,  on 3 Nov.,  and was unable to have anyone with me, due to covid restrictions...I needn't have worried, everyone was lovely .. The lady taking the repeat  x-rays was so nice, reassuring and patient and everyone I came in contact with, that day, was so kind and caring. Thankyou for making a horrible day , that I'd stressed about for a week, so much more bearable. I was one of the lucky ones , that needed no further treatment.

I visited the centre yesterday for a recall appointment after a routine mammogram. I was made to feel as relaxed as possible during my appointment, all staff were very friendly and helped with what could have been quite a traumatic experience. I was one of the lucky ones thankfully. Would definitely take someone with me if I ever need to go again. Thank you to all the staff at the centre

I cannot put into words how wonderful the staff at Breast Test Wales are. I was treated with kindness, empathy and respect from the moment I arrived there for further investigation after a mammogram. They did everything they could to allay my fears and answer all my questions. I was lucky in that I got the all clear, however, I feel that they would have helped me through it had the result been less favourable. Thank you all so much.

I was called to Cathederal  road after a routine mammogram.I was treated with such kindness. And they were so thorough, when I left the centre I felt absolutely certain that there was no cancer, I had no idea that there were so many different ways to detect breast cancer!. A wonderful place, we are so fortunate to have such a facility to help us . Thank you everyone.

I recently attended at this unit. The staff were brilliant and very professional. Their support and kindness was second to none.
