Breadpoint is another hidden gem that HAS to be mentioned. An Asian Bakery shop selling favourites like Polo Buns, Portugese Egg Tarts and various assorted baked goods. The moment you step into this bakery, the smell of freshly baked goods whiffs around and it is heavenly. I love the fact that there's a dine-in option. With some freshly brewed Hong Kong Milk Tea coupled with lovely baked goods, it makes for the perfect breakfast on a Sunday morning. The people are really friendly in this bakery. It's a lovely place
A bustling bakery that’s popular with locals! Plenty of choice and very reasonably priced! The egg tarts are Hong Kong style made with buttery shortcrust pastry! The char siu turnover was equally good! And the have pork floss and spring onion bun! So happy!
Popped in today for the first time. It smelt delicious before entering the door. They have a variety of baked goodies. Really enjoyed the mini hotdogs that come in a sweet bun. Will definitely be back!
I came here at 455pm, and asked politely if they're still open. The younger lady said they are closed but I'm still welcome to look. This was fine. I spoke English given that we are in England. The part I am absolutely mortified about was that the bakers and staff in the background spoke Cantonese - making fun of me for coming so late and then tutting me out of the shop! My assumption is that because I spoke in English, they automatically made the grave mistake of assuming I'm just some spoiled little trophy wife who doesn't speak Chinese. I actually speak Cantonese and I find this highly offensive. I didn't say anything rude, all I did was ask politely if they are still open. The language I choose to speak should not enable their staff to make fun of me TO MY FACE whilst I am in the shop. I honestly don't care if they do the best baked goods in all of Newcastle. This is the worst, rudest and most deplorable customer service I have ever received. I am actually from London and I earn a boat load of money, and was planning to buy a property in cash and quite frankly spend all of my disposable income at small bakeries like this to help support the local businesses, whilst also enjoying some decent food. If you do not like being mocked openly to your face in a language you may or may not speak, do not come here.
Best pork buns and tuna bread. The staff are very friendly and understanding. Clean place and delicious pastries.
I love their cake. I ordered couple of time for my friends, and in both situations they were very delicious
Will priced, with great variety on offer. Selection of baked goods is unrivalled in the surrounding area.
It was a lovely surprise to find this little gem tucked away in Newcastle! The smell of freshly cooked bread lured us in and we were not at all disappointed. Its a great little cafe and all the different breads and cakes they have on offer are simply delicious!
Wonderful cakes and nice coffee
Really enjoyed the range of sweet breads here, made for a great lunch stop. Mango bubble tea, really good too.
