We were not local but the abrupt way we were met upon arrival – with the staff member demanding to know if we had ordered in advance – left me wondering if walk-ins were even welcome. After that, we had a debate about what 'a small chips' meant. Apparently there was some confusion over its plurality – the menu advertises 'small chip' as an item. But I would have thought it was clear no one orders a single small chip and 'small chips' is fairly standard parlance for a small, singular portion of chips. Having waited for all and sundry to get their food first, we received our order which was distinctly average.
We were just tourist here and have tried this takeaway shop which I can say serve one of the best fish and chips. Tasty food. Will definitely recommend.Food: 4/5
Ordered a large portion of chips plus 2 jumbo sausages and a chip and this is what I got. When I called to complain, I got told that is what I paid for, no apology for the fact I waited for almost 35 minutes and they still didn't get my order correct. Does anyone think these overcooked sausages and greasy chips, the smallest portion I have ever received from any chippy, was worth £7.40. Do not go there.

Flavoursome fish and chips. Everything was cooked beautifully and the portions weren't so huge you felt stuffed after. Hits the spot just right. The little buzzer system for picking up your food is brilliant. Never had that from a takeaway before but it works perfectly in times of social distancing as it allowed us to stay in the car.

Just got a delivery from brannigans and I have to say we were very impressed, we got a fish and a portion of chips and there was enough for two people, very large battered cod and another small piece of cod alongside, tasty enjoyable dinner, highly recommend
The chips where standard pricing however good portion size and of course perfect chips!
