I visited Boys Hall for a special birthday with a friend. It was very luxurious, the food exquisite and the staff very attentive without being intrusive. A perfect meal was topped off with a complimentary small dessert beautifully presented. I felt very special and will definitely be returning. The lounge area was equally beautiful and we were able to enjoy our coffee there. Thank you
Drive into a spacious car park.nReception area has comfy sofas and a lovely log burner on the go.nVery friendly staff.Free coffee and cake on arrivalor when you fancy itnStayed in the best room,Bishops quarter,a truly stunning room.Was a little chilly after dinner but staff quickly turned up the heating when mentioned.nDinner was delicious.We are vegetarian so can only comment on that.The lions mane was amazing as were the crispy potatoes.nThey have some great wines for all budgets from £40 to £1150 a bottle.nRestaurant staff were very attentive and extremely friendly.nAll in all a great experience.
Nice atmosphere and ambiance. Not too big, not too noisy. Lovely fireplaces and the Christmas decorations were excellent. Coffee is great. Food was lovely- we had the shared porterhouse and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Sides were nice, starters were very tasty. Service was mostly great and very friendly , except that one server dropped bernaise sauce on my partners lap and wasn’t that fussed about the fact he had stained his trousers. Nothing more was said or done and it did take the shine off of a perfectly nice lunch.
We had a really lovely time at Boys Hall. Sunday dinner with the family. Staff couldn’t have been more welcoming or professional. Lovely atmosphere in bar, lounge and main restaurant. Quality of food exceptional and will definitely visit again.
Amazing dinner celebrating our engagement that happened that morning! Great food and fantastic service, made even better by the kind gesture of bubbles and a dessert plate saying ‘congratulations’. A day and dinner I’ll never forget : Thank you all for making the celebration even more lovely x
