Have been a reasonably regular customer but very disappointed by my recent experience. Ordered a kids lunch menu meal of pancakes but when it arrived the two pancakes were covered in sugar. I checked the kids menu and doesn’t say anywhere that it’s served covered in sugar which I thought would mean they are plain. Really unhealthy and unnecessary to have so much sugar on an item for a kids menu meal, by all means provide the syrup/chocolate dip on the side as that is completely optional. How is a customer meant to know in advance if they are going to cover their children’s lunch meal with sugar? When I raised this with them the response was well they are pancakes and I should have ordered something else. Wouldn’t even acknowledge that this was an issue to cover a 2yr olds food in sugar. The response was they are a sweet treat, despite being part of a short children’s menu of savoury main course options. They could have handled this very differently as not even an apology was offered. A little shocked at their response to a valid issue and therefore doubt I will be back.

Really rude staff and no apology from the owner when I complained. Shame because it used to be great. Food is good BUT don’t go in if you’re starving or have a hungry child because the service is slow. Also slightly problematic if you bring a buggy/wheelchair. Try to avoid the brunette waitress is all I can say!!

Really love Boydens. Great coffee and great food. Particularly love the Tina Turner nacos when I'm a bit hungover on a Saturday! Staff are super friendly too! Definitely recommend!

This is such a little gem for the most delicious brunches, burgers and nachos!!! The service is great, staff members are friendly and the interior is warm and cozy. My friend who lives across the road took me there once I was blown away. I live in South London and I would come all the way to Boyden's for their amazing food. Well done guys! I am a big fan of brunches and have tried many different places in London and Boydens is definitely in my Top 5!

Great place in an area where you don't really expect fine coffee and good snack food. I've had good breakfasts and light lunches here.
