It was a bitter cold day and the restaurant area was cold. We asked if the wood burner could be lit, but had a negative response. Plates were cold for a Sunday lunch. Vegetables were not cooked enough. Gravy thin. Cauliflower cheese, was not in a cheese sauce, but had melted cheese on, and Cauliflower seriously undercooked. Desserts were lovely,hot and good portions. Sunday lunch, very disappointing
As a veggie, there’s really no choice here, so I ate the linguine with Mediterranean veg. The pasta was over cooked and the sauce had no seasoning or flavour. I also order the side of seasonal vegetables, and I did get vegetables, but they were not seasonal in any way, I’d prefer it if frozen peas and carrots were just described as frozen peas and carrots. To be fair, everyone in my party that ate burgers or fish and chips enjoyed them, so maybe they should just stick to pub grub.
This is our go to bar when we want something last minute and local.. great food, always a good choice on the menu. Staff lovely and the kitchen is very accommodating.
Although local, it's been quite a while since my last visit. Restaurant has had a significant makeover recently both internally & externally. Quite busy during our visit which is a good sign?. Food is very good & still fairly well priced although the menu mainly features 'typical' pub meals. Service is quite slow lady taking orders/dealing with customers seemed to be working singlehandedly & rushed off her feet trying to deal with everyone Definitely gone up one star in my rating & looking forward to my next visit.
Value for money , lunch with the girls. Plenty of seating , friendly staff and the food was lovely. Would recommend.
Went here after we couldn't get a table at our regular place and was pleasantly surprised. Said award winning food on the website and when my chicken and blue cheese burger arrived, I really did believe it. So so tasty. Wife's lasagna was also very tasty. The only issue I had was with the onion rings. Far too greasy for my liking, and ratio or batter to onion was a bit off. Too much batter. Apart from those minor setbacks, everything else lovely. Nice garden as well to relax and unwind. Will not stop us from returning.
Refuelling stop for hungry cyclist. Booked an instant table for 1 on 30/6/21 Lads serving were brilliant and food I had was delicious, two points of Moretti also went down a storm. Total bill less than £30. Would definitely recommend for a grub stop without the frills.

We've been here a few times since moving into the area. A warm reception each time and lovely food although advisable to book if you would like a certain dish as some dishes sell out early on. They serve a great Martini and lemonade, their food is beautifully served and the desserts are gorgeous. Coffee lovely too! We will be regular customers.
Excellent food My New York burger was very tasty. Nice thick chips
