What a disappointment. This review is for the attention of the owner, Ali sounded nice over the phone couple of times, so he might take it up with his chef. This is a second order that we placed this month and for the second time we got disappointed. The portions were awfully small and definitely not worth the price £9-10 each. Lamb bhuna meat was as tough as leather boots not that we usually gnaw on those, the portion was literally half the container but since the flavours weren't there and the meat was tough we wouldn't have cared if it didn't come with a high price tag. The okra side dish was so bitter that it ended in a bin. Cauliflower bhaji was also inedible, lightly splattered with some non descriptive sauce of hardly any flavour. Portion sizes half the size of the containers. Tikka masala was so sweet that, again, was not eaten. Went hungry tonight. The mix grill portion was inadequate for the price we've paid, the meat was lukewarm and did not look really grilled but more like covered in a sauce. This was supposed to come with naan but it was missing on this occasion as well. In overall the quality and quantity was way below our expectations. The owner offered to add "free" items on our next order again but, taking everything into consideration, we won't be ordering from this place ever again. A truly disappointing experience. P. S. The photos were taken right after we opened the containers, so you can judge for yourselves the portion sizes.
Oh wow this is the place you want to be! Take your own alcohol buy it opposite and tell them you are eating in the restaurant and they'll knock a quid off! and eat for well under £30 for two of you! In my top three Indian restaurants of all time!!! Absolute mountain of food! Place was busy at 5pm on a Wednesday. Says it all. Lots of people enjoying this place. Such a find. WELL DONE!
I was in Bournemouth for my 2 day anniversary trip since Monday and my husband and I was looking for a halal restaurant so we opted for this restaurant as we were missing home cooked food so we opted for Indian. We dined in and the staff was so friendly and welcoming and food didn’t take long to be prepared. Truly the food was delicious and it’s so affordable compared to other restaurants and we ate till our hearts content with minimal wastage as we took the leftovers as takeaway. The restaurant was packed full of people because of Diwali but nevertheless the atmosphere was great and thank you Bournemouth Lahore spice of Lahore for making my 1st wedding anniversary dinner super special. Highly recommend this restaurant for affordable dishes and service.
Perhaps one of the best Indian restaurants in Bournemouth. The food was delicious and affordable too. I recommend the Lahore Special with lamb. The curry was very tasty and the lamb was beautifully cooked Oh and it’s BYO alcohol, which is always great
Delicious food great tast good customer service, bit expensive. Mutton biryani was very oily and rice wasn't cooked properly... Otherwise taste was brilliant..
The food is good, better than average, super service with accommodating staff! The surroundings need improving, tho it is very tired is clean. The price is very very decent!
Very nice Lamb Madras, Lamb was tender and the curry had the perfect level of spiciness. Accidentally ordered chicken at first and rang up and they changed which is very good customer service. The paneer palak was a great addition as well. My other half had chicken korma and it was very tasty - not a complaint but you can notice the cashew nuts in the curry however it was very tasty. Had garlic rice with both curries and it paired well.
Delicious food. First time eating here and definitely coming back. The food is flavourful and very well balanced. The staff is friendly and attentive.
I dined in few times and had more than few takeaways. Food is always good so is the service. The restaurant doesn't sell alcohol but you can bring your own and won't pay any corkage charges. Brilliant!Food: 5/5
I'm a regular here. The manager is so welcoming, he greets you like an old friend. Try some of their special dishes. I had the dish of the day tonight, chicken on a big sizzling pan, with cheese & spinach on top. OMG it was lush!!
