What an amazing place. For the young and old. This place is very hands on you can climb in the planes and cockpits and play with all the switches and controls. The staff are very helpful and have a lot knowledge. It is all run by volunteers. If you want a good place to visit and amuse the kids this place is a must. Just over the road from the airport  so you can see the planes come and go. It's a cheap place to visit.

Went with my 22 month old today. He loved it and so did I. Happy friendly staff and a nice selection of aircraft. I like the fact that most you can sit and play in. Also nice views of airport to watch planes take off and land. I have read on some reviews people saying its run down etc. If it was prestine you wouldnt be able to sit and play in them. I feel it adds to the charm.

Always a work in progress this hidden gem is a lovely place to take children. You can get in all the planes, a fire engine and a bus. My toddler grandson loved it! Being an aeroplane enthusiast my husband loved it too!

Bournemouth Aviation Museum is the kind of place where your kids can explore. If they have an interest in exploring inside aircraft cockpits or planes in general then they will love this place.

It's not massive but each year they seem to add something new, so worth a visit if you love planes.
