Bottle and Glass Inn

Story

Dating back to the 17th century The Bottle & Glass is a quintessentially English country pub which offers accommodation and is full of rustic charm and character, with oak beams, open fires and a wonderfully warm atmosphere.

Our carefully prepared menu which is inspired by classic English dishes uses locally sourced produce whenever possible and Jon can be found behind the bar serving some great local ales and fine wines all of which can be found at very competitive prices.

If you are thinking of going out for Sunday lunch why not try our carvery which is ideal for all the family to enjoy and for special occasions ask for details of our Private Dining Room which we can make available for groups of up to twelve people.

Whatever your reason for visiting The Bottle & Glass we can assure you of a very warm and friendly welcome from all of our staff from the moment that you walk through the door.

We look forward to welcoming you soon
Jon

This pub in Picklescott is completely off the beaten track. However it is well worth the effort to visit. There were 4 real ales on handpump, I tried two, Hobsons' Twisted Spire and Wye Valley HPA. Both excellent. The food was good but not exceptional but was reasonably priced. The landlord and staff were very friendlyand helpful.

Very enjoyable stay. Jon the owner is very friendly, welcoming and helpful, the room (twin) was lovely (country cottage-style), very clean with very comfortable beds. Breakfast was excellent- you can select exactly what you want the night before so that you have a completely individualised/tailor-made breakfast. We ate every evening in the restaurant which was fine as it had a varied menu and the food was great and good value. I really recommend staying here if you have a car and want to explore Shropshire. We will return!
