AWFUL! Please avoid this business. Not only are the staff rude, unprofessional & unhelpful, I arrived for my appointment to be informed it'd been moved to 20 minutes earlier & they couldn't see me as I was "late". They hadn't bothered to tell me in advance they were moving my appointment! This is the 2nd time I had a bad experience here, I thought the first one was a blip, but unfortunately I was wrong. Avoid.
Went for usual routine eye test and he said it was time to get my cataract looked at. Within 2 days I'd got an appointment for an assessment at a clinic in Pendeford on NHS.
I feel I was robbed in broad daylight. My son is only 8.. He already has glasses that are perfectly fine, my son went for a eye test yesterday and they said his eyes were still the same, nothing changed and still needed classes when watching TV. But they said he still needed new glasses with new lenses... And I thought that was fine because under 16 they get free glasses. My son had picked some that were under £40, which meant they were free. They then told me they weren't suitable for him so looked at £70 ones, they said they didn't sit right. Then they got to the £100 ones which are ADULTS and said they fit him nicely with some give. I was put on the spot as they were the only ones that they said were suitable for him. So I paid £55 extra for some glasses for my 8 year old son that he should be getting FREE for his age. I am disgusted, they weren't nice women at all... And once I collect my sons glasses I am moving Optitions for me, my son and my husband. 3 customers lost through GREED.
I have today been to boots opticians Cannock for the first time after having previously bad experiences at other opticians in Cannock. I can honestly say the staff are so friendly and made me feel so at ease, very good examination explaining everything they were doing. New frames chosen from a great variety and good price. I will definitely be going to them again and without feeling scared. Thank you to all
I have been going to this opticians for over 30 years, and always had brilliant service so continued doing so when boots took over. I was really concerned when the service received one month ago was not up to par. How ever the fault did not lie with the opticians but with the company they deal with. The staff dealt with the situation very professionally and sorted the problem out quite quickly.. Boots should be very proud to have such loyal staff working for them, they went above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you to the young lady that dealt with my problem, she deserves some sort of recognition..
They wrote my prescription down incorrect, I took the prescription to another optician for new glasses has I didn’t like what boots had to offer, but on collecting new glasses I couldn’t see /use had to get a 2nd eye test from another optician and it was totally different from what boots had wrote down, the assistant manager was arguing and going round in circles yet they was at fault. I will not be using again
After a horrendous experience costing a lot of money at another optician in Cannock I decided to visit this opticians today and can honestly say that the staff and service were superb. I will definitely recommend them to others and will be happy to visit again. Glasses very well priced and no pressure selling to buy the expensive ones with a good range available. Thank you to all.
I recently had an eye test here, i have to say they were very good. The optician was excellent, very thorough, with an excellent manner. I popped in today as i had a bloodshot eye and asked if the optician could check it for me, i had no appointment, after a few medical questions he saw me staight away, examined my eyes for me, diagnosed the problem and prescribed some eye drops. I would thoroughly recommend this opticians, and will definately use them again. Brilliant customer service.
Absolutely disgusting opticians! Do not go here. Rang for an emergency appointment as was having terrible trouble and pain with my eyes. They asked lots of questions about my eye etc and they said they would ring back asao. Hours later I had to chase them up and was passed across to a very rude woman who then said she was ringing me which was not true, I had to chase them. Offered no apology for not ringing back and then said she didn't have enough information from me bearing in mind she had asked lots and lots of questions when I first rang! and then said I couldn't be seen until 2 or 3 weeks time. Absolutely infuriating and she was so unprofessional. I would never ever consider going to this opticians. Do not go here!
Went here for first-time eye test. Staff very condescending and did not help me through the process - in fact they seemed to be mocking me and laughing with each other at my expense. Eventually they threw an NHS form at me and told me to go home. I did so and booked myself into Specsavers instead. AVOID!
