After finishing my shopping in this Boots in Derby intu, i attempted to pay for my purchases at the self check out. 
As usual i had a problem with the scanner.
The alarm sounded but no one came to assist. There were 3 assistants on the nearby tills, a couple just standing chatting.
I asked if someone was looking after the self check out snd was told someone would be there soon. 
After about 10 minutes an assistant did come over.
My question is if you want to run a self check out system you should have an assistant on hand to deal with problems. 
Not impressed with Boots in Derby intu at all.

They have a vast array of makeup, in particular the lady from Bare minerals Sumi. She was absolutely fantastic, really knew her brand knowledge and gave me spectacular one on one treatment. Her customer service skills were outstanding, what a great brand representative!
