There was an old couple being served and had barely any shopping and were nearly done. Nobody else was queuing for this till. The woman on checkout pointed at some other tills on the other side of the shop, saying I should use them. I said no thanks. For the sake of waiting 30 seconds for the last few items ahead of me to be scanned, why would I need to switch tills? When I then was served, the cashier stayed mute the entire time, didn't say hello, offer me a receipt. And she sat there for 10 seconds not giving me my change while gossiping with some other staff member. I reached out my hand in front of her to break her attention and she finally gave me my money. What is the need for rudeness? You're a grown woman, act like it!nnPathetic behaviour from this woman. She was quite happy talking to the other middle aged people around her, but I guess a 26 year old is beneath her. Clitheroe Booths staff 100 times nicer!!!
Most of the staff here are absoloutely awful. There a few good ones and it's usually the younger staff on later at night. Go during the day time and they all seem utterly misserable. You try and be friendly during the checkout process, ask them how they are and they just blank you. Most of them don't even say thank you or goodbye. You get better service at any other grocery store or supermarket than this place. The only reason I still shop here is because of the food quality but I think I might just switch and go to Chorley for the M&S where the staff actually know what customer service is.
This review is for the Cafe, and Annie who served us and Sarah who brought our food over in particular - Annie was very pleasant, helpful and made sure that we had everything we needed, including water to top up our teas and plenty of oat milk at no extra cost. Annie is a credit to Booths and the branch. Sarah was very pleasant and apologised for the wait for our food, even though the wait wasn't long and our food arrived in an entirely reasonable time.
Best supermarket in the region and it’s never disappointed. Plenty of good stuff, especially great food produced in Lancashire.
Only Booths Supermarket that actually stocks the new Lancashire Tea Beer by Farmyard Ales. Free toilets were nice as well. Staff very friendly. Shop was clean and car parking was ample.
