Really nice selection of high quality goods. The one quibble is that the cafe close two hours early when we went on a Monday. You have to pay for parking - one hour for a pound or two hours for two pounds. You get a voucher that discounts the parking charge from your bill when you check out. Well presented on tempting counters and lots of fresh food. Best supermarket in the lakes.
Extremely slow service at the cafe, since staff had to make coffees, serve cakes while attending the cash machine resulting in long queues. Clean and spacious at least. Also, if you’re charging your vehicle you still need to pay parking, time consuming and annoying. Just not great experience
Super little Supermarket. Well laid out with an excellent selection of spirits. We found a Welsh whisky and a Scottish gin. They also sell many condiments and sauces that I haven't seen before, and all at reasonable prices. Large on site car park.
IF you PARK here, make sure you pay!!! It is not free, even if shopping. The store is large with a cafe, an area with magazines and such. They sell HERDY products, made my locals in Kendall and located next to Booths. See my photos. They have adorable stuff and it is specifically all about the Lake District and the Herdwick Sheep. They have the best Gluten-free pasta by Rummo and a decent Free From section. I found the vegetable area to be lacking but maybe nobody buys them? Regardless I got some carrots, radishes and arugula. We certainly don’t eat enough vegetables by the look of our groceries. Aisles of processed food and a small aisle of vegetables.
Spacious store. We just bought a few items but the fresh fruit was very good quality. Great bread selection. Competitive pricing throughout. Had a coffee too. Will shop here again!
Our favourite supermarket in Lake District. Keswick Booths is always very well stocked and so much more than just a Supermarket. Quite simply the best car park views of any supermarket in the country. Toilets are always clean and accessible for all. Don't forget to pick up a Booths bag for life, "The Cake District" is a personal favourite.
Nice open plan shop, meat counter was full and good display, however the fish counter was a very poor display. Managed to get everything on our list including alcohol, was a very well stocked alcohol section.
Decent supermarket with some very good, high quality fresh produce. However, some of the prices in comparison to large supermarkets on branded stock appear to be marked up quite a bit. Given the current climate if your trying to be frugal on everyday food shopping this won't be the shop for you.
Always call in when we are in Keswick. Got sausage from the butcher's counter. They were very good, pork and apple cider and pork and black pudding. We also picked up a rhubarb pie for dessert from the bakery department. Well done Booth's love to call in when we can.
We were on a day trip to Keswick so we decided to eat here for lunch and we were glad that we did because when we went into cafés in Keswick, they were far more expensive than Booths plus being vegetarian they had a choice of food. We chose a vegetarian bun and a pot of tea for two. It came with plenty of sausages including a sauce of our choice and a large pot of tea that worked out at only £1.15 each. We were able to have plenty of cups of tea. Very reasonably priced and the staff were friendly. We will definitely be back again on our next day out.
