I first came across Bookdonors at the Bloody Scotland Crime Festival in Stirling. Since then I buy all my books from them, I love that I can go in and see a whole character series on one page, I love that I can get 3 for 2 or 3 for £6.99. The condition of the books I have received have all been marvellous and with free postage and packaging which due to my address is a boon I honestly have no complaints. Looking forward to seeing them back at Bloody Scotland 2017.
An exceptional community organisation that provides readers all over UK with second hand books. Book Donors gathers up second hand books from all over Scotland and N.England and then supplies them to the second hand book market. If you buy an old book online it has probably been sourced by them The staff at the warehouse are very friendly and helpful and there is a nice husky dog kept in a back room. I was lucky enough to get a glimpse of their vast warehouse, where tens of thousands of books are on the move.
This organisation used to be brilliant. However over the last month their standards have plummeted. I have read somewhere that they are being forced into financial jeopardy by a HUGE online seller whose name begins with A ! Such a shame as they did a great job and for a terrific cause.
Really pleased I purchased the book from here, because although I didn't realise what Bookdonors was about until after I received the book, I'm doing a project on mental health and employment; stigma, etc. So I was really happy to support the service. The product is excellent value for money and really good quality.
Terrible. I would give this website 0 stars if I could. The book was GARANTIED to be GREAT. It was great . . .NOT! It's back was bent and the pages were covered in scribbles ! There was a smiley face sticking its tongue out and it said :HaHAhA. Not funny. Don't be surprised when you get a horrible book .and the worst part they made it one cent on purpose but the shipping is ten dollars SO SHIPPING IT BACK IS TEN DOLLARS and you only get one penny back!
To be avoided. Ordered and paid for a book from them three weeks ago and still haven't received it. Have emailed twice and tried telephoning and leaving a detailed voice message. Absolutely no response. Appalling.
Bookdonors offer an ethical alternative to buying books. Their website is great, very easy to use. Fantastic service.
