Got a fish supper tonight. The chips were great but the batter on the fish wasn’t. Quite raw & tasteless. I’m disappointed as Bonnyton Cafe was always good. I definitely won’t be going back. £10.45 for a fish supper that’s not up to standard.
15th July 2025 1715hrs i collected a fish supper , 2nd in the queue. Service was great staff were great . However the fish supper was not up to its usual standard fish was dry the batter was solid at both ends the rest of the batter was tough and rubbery it was not pleasant to eat. Disappointed with my meal. Not its usual quality.
Usually enjoy food from this cafe but has gone downhill. I had a fish supper last night that had obviously been left in warmer for god knows how long. Batter was rubbery and fish dried out. Had to eat middle half of fish and bin the ends.
Got a takeaway on Saturday and all of the suppers 3 were absolutely amazing. I had the steak pie supper. The steak pie had the right amount of meat and gravy within the pie. Are the pies sourced locally? Highly recommend
Just got a fish supper 30min ago its the worst batter every, just put it in bin, cold!!!!!chewie !!!!!!! Sorry the same with the fritter, nope definitely not be back if far to expensive to throw away into bin, so sorry not for me, not be back.nWill i recommend it, def not!!!!!!!!n
