I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bombay Palace with friends, and it was an unforgettable experience. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere from the moment we walked in. The chef is truly exceptional; his sweet dessert took me straight back to my childhood, bringing back fond memories of the Indian sweets I’ve always loved. The biryani and chickpeas were equally amazing, full of rich, authentic flavours. Dining here felt like sharing a meal with family, and meeting the chef was an honour. If you’re craving a genuine taste of Bombay, I highly recommend Bombay Palace. I’ll definitely be returning!
What a super find! Not cheap but the quality of the room, the food and the service is truly excellent and so it's worth every penny! This is not your standard curry place. We will be back, staff lovely and the atmosphere is relaxing. I also noticed that the respect for allergies on an adjacent table was spot on. Can highly recommend Dietary restrictions: Very respectful of needs
We had a 6:30pm dinner reservation for four. The restaurant was very accommodating for one of the party that has a nut and shellfish allergy, he went over the menu and provided great recommendations for her. The food was excellent and the service was amazing. We will definitely come back here again when we layover in London. Thank you for an amazing experience and delicious food.
Booked through the first table and hence had a discounted price. Food is decent but not worth the full price. Atmosphere is of a takeaway rather than fine diningas per location and pricing. Early lunch and restaurant wasn't ready, toilets being cleaned, kitchen staff shouting, plates banging etc. Not a pleasant experience.Food: 3/5
Our local family favourite. Always great quality and taste. Good and attentive service and staff. Definitely recommend them. They also have a lot of space and can accommodate for larger groups, which is great when the whole family wants to go out for dinner! Dishes ordered: lamb biryani*, roganjosh kashmiri, king prawn bhuna*, butter chicken*, dal makhni*, garlic and lachcha naan, cucumber raita and basmati rice. *starred are dishes that I’d recommend.
Loved it. The staff is amazing and they are the best part of this place. Food is great too, although adjusted for European standards but I am sure if requested to increase spice level they will do it. I had a great time there with my familyFood: 4/5
The pricing is on the high side overall speaking. Love the butter chicken but I am not sure it justifies 22 or 24 quids. Lamb shank was big and the sauce was nice but the lamb was not marinated enough. The nans were a disappointment. And it’s a shame when the butter chicken was so nice. Wine is also expensive with a glass of red costing around 10 quid. We opted for half bottle and it cost us £24.
I would love to give them 6 stars in service if I can. One of the friendliest staff in London. Special thanks to Robert. %100 recommended.Food: 5/5
Excellent find - authentic dishes with amazing flavours and very warm, attentive, welcoming staff who are well informed and friendly. Overall, a wonderful way to spend a Sunday evening. Lovely ambience and just the right distance between tables which is quite rare we find at central London restaurants. A big thank you to Adi and The Bombay Palace team!
To be honest to this restaurant, this was one of the better tasting Indian food I have had in Central London area. In my opinion, many Indian restaurants water down the authenticity so it can cater to a wider local audience. Nonetheless the food served at Bombay Palace straddled a fine line between being a British Indian cuisine and authentic Indian cuisine. And it succeeds in that regard. This success can be ascertained by the crowd that dine at the restaurant, consisting of both British and Indian customers. Depending on what kind of Indian food you like, there is a going to British Indian food like Madras curry and Tikka Masala, or OG Indian food like chaat and momos. You won't be stuck without options. We ordered the ragda pattice chaat, tandoori mixed grill platter, missi roti, paneer kulcha and chicken Tikka masala. The Tikka Masala and Mixed Grill were the best ones we have had in UK. No doubts about that. The portions were good too as the two of us were full and couldn't finish off the platter and Tikka masala. Now the reasons why we can't give them a 5/5 score are because: 1. Chaat item was just average. Missi roti was also really dry and hard to tear easily. 2. The food felt a bit overpriced for the overall experience. 3. The vibe and decor of the hotel felt like it was stuck in the 1990s and would really need to upgrade to reflect how other premium Indian restaurants are in London. In the end I came out of the restaurant with a full belly and happy experience. I will recommend this place especially if you are looking to have a group dinner just because of the sheer variety of Indian food you can experience.
