Well, reading the reviews i'm not quite sure what went wrong with our visit to this restaurant. The service was so bad it was actually comical. We arrived, and stood like lost sheep at reception while the staff talked amongst themselves, eventually turning to us and asking us about our booking. After explaining it was a table for two, they continued chatting, and we overheard, "where shall we sit them?". We got seated and from there the service continued throughout the meal at the same quality, comical. The food was "ok", but certainly not of Akbars quality. At one point the staff were arguing with each other to the rear of the restaurant which topped the evening of nicely. As i mentioned, looking at other reviews, I'm not sure if the place was having a bad night but we will certainly not be returning.

Lovely tasty food. Kids (7 and 8) enjoyed everything. Service was good, friendly and helpful, made a fuss of the kids, and suggested we order a bit less than we planned, which turned out to be the right amount. £68 for starters, mains and drinks for 4. No negatives we can think of.
