We put our Mercedes-Benz in to Bodytone for a repair to a deep scratch.  From start to finish it was a very professional experience.  The work required to fix the damage was clearly explained, and an accurate timescale given. The finish is immaculate, in showroom condition and you would never know that the scratch ever happened. I was looking for a bodyshop to perform some customization work on my car, including filling some number plate holes, spoiler holes, performing a front and rear respray and fitting a new front lip and side skirts. The original quote was done over the phone and seemed very cheap, so I took the car over for an in-person estimate. The contacted me later than day with a more realistic quote, which was negotiated down over the phone to a price I was willing to pay.

I dropped the car off on a Wednesday with them saying it would take a couple of days and I could pick the car up on Friday. I didn't hear back again until I called them on Friday, where the car was going into the paint booth so wouldn't be ready until Monday. Luckily I have a second car so this wasn't an issue, but I was a little annoyed that I wasn't kept up to date on the work. Had I needed the car over the weekend it would have been inconvenient.

That said, when I went to pick the car up on Monday I was extremely impressed with the quality of the work. The holes were all filled and smoothed correctly, and the 3-stage pearl white paint matched the rest of the car exactly. The side skirts had all been fitted to a good standard, although they weren't perfect it was later found that I had supplied them with a poor replica kit. They then removed this poor kit and re-installed a new kit the following week at the cost of only a few hours labour.

Overall I would say that the communication leaves a little to be desired, but the end result is very impressive and Tony and his team really know their stuff and take pride in their work. I won't hesitate to go back and will be recommending them to other people who need bodywork modifications done. Since the end result was my main concern, I am giving a 5-star review.
