Me and my partner visited for the first time tonight. The ambience was superb. I love the decor... lighting... the service was amazing ... attentive and with a smile. The food superb, and certainly not pretentious portions. I felt we couldn't do it the justice it deserved by leaving any at all. Have already recommended it to family.. having only been home 10 minutes. Thank you.

SO DISAPPOINTED Good reviews, looked the part inside and out, but this was one of the worst meals we have ever had. Very slow service, quality of the food was really poor. Soup was left overs, cheap mince and way too much cheese on pizza. Half way through starters we were told we had to pay cash as machine faulty still - see other reviews. I think the staff knew the food/service was poor as they never asked ........ never again.

Had a lovely meal with the girlfriend on Thursday 12 October amazing real Italian food cooked amazing between us we had a wide variety of food from a fish starter to pizza we really  did try a bit of everything on the menu even down to the sides cooked excellent with amazing swift service. Couldn't eat a meal in such a better historical building really nice an has great potential

Had a lovely welcome by Goran, preparations had been made between family and staff at Boccellis for a fantastic birthday meal balloons and cake as well.  The staff were attentive professional and treat us very well.  Well done to all of them including bar staff.  The meal was wonderful so thank you very much to the chef.  There was 10 of us altogether and we had a great time from 6.30 till 11.00pm no complaints, brilliant experience. Highly recommended, we certainly will be back there again soon. 5***** all the way...

Really good food. We were given a warm welcome on arrival. Staff very attentive.  Loved the olde worlde atmosphere. Would definitely visit again. Nice to have a quality restaurant nearby

Amazing Italian restaurant in an unbelievable historic building. We have visited many times and even held a wedding anniversary party here. The staff are fantastic, the food just sublime. Can't recommend this place enough to everyone. Well worth the travel.

May 2017, Thursday night 9pm place was empty. nice guy took our order, almost 45 mins later food arrived, missus said her pasta was ok but very bland and she found a hair in it!!! I had fillet steak which was full of gristle and fat and as tough as a stewed skunk! After just 1 mouthful I sent it straight back and the waiter was very apologetic and offered replacement but we declined. What I did find quite funny was as we were leaving the the waiter said "have a nice evening and I'll see you again soon"  errrrm, no you won't.

Booked for a meal on Saturday for 8pm, happily took our booking. Showed up on the day to find the restaurant was closed, no warning, no notices or anything. Tried calling and even waited around for half an hour, no answer. Two other couples where also there and had to make other plans and sort transport.

Awful. Worst excuse for a bruschetta I've ever been served. Terrible salty risotto. Long long wait for food. And has a complex about what it is called!?? Was good once, maybe again one day but not now! Visited 26th August 2017.

I ordered polpetti with rigatoni, the sauce was bland passata warmed up in a pan meatballs were flavourless, they did at least know how to boil pasta! The only reason they get 2 stars is the building and décor were spot on, save your money and open a tin of Heinze ravioli, maybe people who don't know what Italian food should be like rated them 5 stars
