Really great experience from start to finish. Tickets needs to be purchased inside the cafe. Prices are reasonable and some not so. The men operating the boating are friendly and helpful. We enjoyed ourselves and the various animals on the lake.
The boating lake is getting a little clean up and is being spruced up as well since the lockdown. A nice little lake with boating facility, a restaurant and toilet facilities. Hopefully they continue to maintain the place and keep it clean. It is nice place to watch the calm serene lake . Can get busy with kids around.
Nice little ,,oasis" behind Great Alexandra Palace . Boating lake was a great adventure for our 5 years old , had a coffee at the coffee shop , areas were kept clean , a bit que , but I guess due to precautions of COVID . Will return here .
Very nice and clean park with a large lake for the ducks and boating. Also a small playground and a small skate park near by. Lovely autumn colour at the moment. Small café also available next to the lake and also a public toilet.
The staff are completely not interested in their job, chatting about between themselves and doing you a favor when you actually want to ask them a question or rent a pedal boat. The tickets can be bought inside the cafe. The stand outside is just to dispense the boats and life jackets for kids. The pedal boats are not designed for people with long legs or kids. Basically very uncomfortable to pedal for too long. They are also pretty rundown and don't seem to be cleaned very often. You can go around in 5 minutes. There isn't much to see. There are lots of birds around. The late is very dirty. Some people get stuck, especially if you don't follow instructions and go to close to the edges. Overall bearable, but kids get bored very quickly, don't want to sit around, and then get told off my staff - obviously for safety reasons.
Went with kids . Policy is over 1year can go . They never let my child on . Didn’t dry the seat well so other kids got wet. Rude staff wouldn’t recommend
It was a peaceful stroll on a cold Sunday afternoon. The ducks and geese expect food and swim up to you if you stand by the edge of the lake. Pigeons will flock to the feeding, too. Not sure if the swan boats are operational in winter. They seemed to be parked and inactive. Bet it’s nicer in summer.
Lovely, Nice way to end the day, they give you enough time not like others, they sanitise in-between families
This is a nice place to relax in the summer and spring, walking area is peaceful and perfect regardless of the weather, the view is beautiful. The boat ride is really good specially for children, customer service at shop is really good too. Go ape is near you can book in advance. I would definitely recommend you experience that too. Over all a great place to bring the family to have a picnic and enjoy the nature.
Lovely weekend activity, especially when the weather is nice
