I first attended last December for severe wrist pain which I had a steroid injection for, but unfortunately the pain returned so I had to have a minor op. Despite being a nervous patient, the theatre staff were wonderful and put me at ease, and the treatment I received from Mr Wykes was the best. He was friendly and professional at all times and involved me in all aspects of my care and managed my expectations well. The op went smoothly and I have had follow-up physio sessions with the physio manager Dave who is so lovely and knowledgeable. My treatment has been successful and I am no longer in pain and almost back to full mobility so I have now been discharged. Such a wonderful service from start to finish and I would most definitely recommend the Beaumont Hospital.
I have just returned from a general anaesthetic procedure at this hospital. The service I received was very good. The room was private and comfortable and the staff were very nice. One notable member of staff was the man that assisted the anaesthetist as they was putting me to sleep. As you can imagine, it’s quite an unpleasant time but the man was in constant conversation with me. He distracted me from what was going on but it was so genuine. He had a genuine interest in the questions he was asking and the conversation flowed perfectly. I almost forgot where I was! I wish I could remember his name to say thanks but the lights went out not long after our conversation. Overall I am very happy with the facilities and staff at The Beaumont Hospital. Thank you!
I recently attended The Beaumont for a consultation regarding my trigger finger. All the staff were very efficient and welcoming as I arrived; there was no waiting and I saw my consultant straight away. At the consultation, I was offered a variety of treatments and I opted for an injection which was performed there and then. The safety process with the consultant and nurse to ensure it was performed correctly was reassuring and made me feel calm. A thoroughly professional experience; thank you. Special mention and thanks to Mr Wykes for removing the pain in my finger and to Stacey who was kind when I was having the injection. Thanks all.
I have in the past week been at the Beaumont for complex foot surgery under the care of Mr Ring. From the first appointment for a pre-assessment with a lovely Nurse who was very professional and made me feel very much at ease. She explained each step and the reasons for doing them. I was then admitted as a day case for the operation. Each and everyone of the staff I came across were all very professional and friendly from the greeting at reception, the gentleman that showed me to my room the nursing and auxiliary staff and the catering lady whose care I was under. Thank you to you all. I would very highly recommend the Beamont Hospital to anyone who should require Hospital care.
I went to see the bone specialist yesterday after suffering from having wrist pain and pain in my thumb. I was living with this for almost a year. I was refferd to my own doctors for my treatment. But I was told he couldn't do small bones and he refferd me to another hospital. My day came after waiting for a few months. When I arrived at the hospital I was really worried about what would happen. I was seen by the doctor and he asked me to tell him about my wrist. After me explaining everything. He asked me if I would like to have this injection but he called it a medical word. I asked him what was that. I was really nervous. So I said yes please knowing that I was terrified. He asked a nurse to come in. During my treatment I was so terrified the nurse talked to me all through my injection. After it was over with I felt sick and dizzy. Both the doctor and nurse helped me to have a lay down. Everything went away after a few minutes. I was on my way back home just after 4. The doctor was really helpful and explained everything to me. All I have now is my wrist being sore where the needle was put in. I understand that it would take a few days for my injection to start to work. I would like to say thank you to the doctor and nurse who helped me through this yesterday.
I was admitted on Thursday as a day case to have surgery on my toes. I was under the care of Mr Ring. He was a true professional ,knowledgeable and extremely kind. He really did give me some hope that my mobility could be improved and I can’t thank him enough. I have had several operations in my lifetime but a new experience for me was actually walking down from my room to theatre. It gave me a chance to have a look round and a chance to have a chat to the anaesthetist and her assistant. I also met Jane in theatre and she too was pleasant and really put me at ease On my return to my room I met a lot of very kind and caring people Jackie Teymar Lisa Amanda Dave to name but a few. My stay at Beaumont hospital was a very memorable experience and I would recommend it to everyone. Thanks to everyone. I felt like I was leaving a group of friends on my discharge. I just wanted to say a huge thanks to all the staff that I had the pleasure of dealing with at The Beaumont where I had my operation. The whole experience was made as easy as could be with each stage of the process conducted in a polite, supportive and professional manner. So a huge thanks to Mr Harris, all the theatre staff, all nurses, the administration team and the catering staff on the day of my operation. Keep up the excellent work, Thanks Mark Davies
I went into Beaumont for complex knee surgery. From start to finish I received the best care from every member of staff.Mr Raut the surgeon perform an excellent operation and he is such a lovely man. The follow up care is very good, the physiotherapist are lovely and very good. I have no concerns about going back to have my other knee done.
I underwent an operation at The Beaumont on 7th March. From the initial consultation back in December with Mr Iqbal, until post operation, all the services provided were fantastic. All appointments were on time, and at every stage I found every individual, from the receptionists to the nurses to be amazingly friendly, polite and extremely willing to help. Being an NHS patient, I initially assumed that I would receive second class service. However this was never a differentiating factor with regards to quality of service provided. I felt as if the service provided to me personally from all the staff at all times would be the same as that provided to those who are receiving care under private funding. In essence I feel like each patient is treated as an individual, who’s  recovery and comfort is prioritised. My surgeon, Dr Iqbal, was amazing, reassuring, and very knowledgeable in his field. On the day of the operation I arrived at the hospital, and upon completing the paperwork I was taken to a private room to await my turn. The room had an ensuite bathroom, and both the room and bathroom were very clean. As an outpatient, I was allowed one person to accompany me. Comfortable reclining seating was also provided for them in the room. All the nurses on the ward cannot recall any names were really nice, friendly and would readily and happily fulfil any requests made. The doctors in the anaesthetic room were really good and reassuring. I preferred to be put to sleep with the gas mask, and they readily complied. After being discharged, I received a nice curtesy call the next morning enquiring about my health post op. Due to the type of surgery I had, I require regular dressing changes to be carried out. The hospital arranged this for me, and I was given a call with regards to this. I've been in for a couple of dressing changes now, and would like to specially mention the nurses named Sophie and Diane for their amazing help. Both of these nurses showed their passion and determination to help patients whilst I was under their care, as they went the extra mile whilst attending to me. Both are very caring and also went out of their way to book my dressing changing appointments according to my schedule. I was also informed that the hospital ward nurses can changed dressings out of hours in emergencies, and during the weekend they happily changed mine.. In summary, Beaumont Hospital is a very good and very clean hospital wherein every step of all the expert staff is taken in the direction of the patients recovery and comfort. This seems to be their passion, hence their priority.
The staff have always been so lovely, the service very efficient and everyone shows that they care about the patients. Beth on reception and Alex the physio were exceptionally kind and show exactly what professionalism looks like. Miss Mulgrew listened to my feelings and made sure I felt involved in every part of my treatment. I have never more felt like I mattered receiving medical treatment. I very much recommend.
