Great jewellery. I was very surprised to see such unique range and quality in this local store. Cannot wait to see their Cornish stores.
What can I say about this shop Unusual jewellery including a pair of beautiful earrings shaped like a lily made of silver for a cost of £149.00 so chose hook ones as she is alway losing her backs We Brought them a week ago for my wife to wear on our Christmas party and Was so pleased to hear they were a Cornish company and were from there or so we were led to believe Imagine the disappointment when my wife went to put the earrings on and found they would not go through her ear holes On closer inspection we realised the hooks were very thick and therefore unless you have a large hole in your ear they just won’t fit We assumed this was because they were hooked so I suggested we opted for pin ones So we went back to Totnes to exchange them but was told they do not take earrings back I do understand the policy from the hygiene and the risk of infection however she never managed to get them into her ear and I did put them under boiling water to sterilise them which is basically what happens to a surgeons knife On inspection of the post and clip version the post was also very thick so even if we could exchange they would not have been any better The lady was very unhelpful and said she would have to send them back to head office so to see if they would be able to get them altered as my wife still loved them At which point she informed me if they could alter them it would take at least 6 weeks as they would have to send them back to the factory NOW HERES THE POINT When we brought them as I said we were led to believe they were hand made in Cornwall not China This is important to me as I’m a patriot and love my country Secondly the returns policy should have been verbally told to us at which point we might have looked a lot closer at the hooks So the moral of the story is be very careful when purchasing from this shop and be sure they will fit and don’t believe they are a local product las we did On a positive note we took them to Dobles the jewellers and for £20 they are making us new hooks so at least it’s not a complete loss
