They get worse. Wouldn't use again. Supposed to be picked up at airport from holidays. No text from them advising arrival time or car etc . Some joker eventually turned up with no ID whatsoever on or in the car, didn't even have my right name so needless to say I didn't get in. Didn't trust him. Contacted blue line and manager wasn't available. Advised to email. That came back not recognised so had to use online form and it took over a week for them to reply. Usual excuses. Very poor customer services. Used to be good and reliable. Now they use too many drivers who couldn't find their way out of a paper bag never mind find an address. Not good for lone women to use.
DO NOT USE! Absolutely terrible. Booked a taxi five days in advance for trip from western edge of the city to the city centre, and a return trip later in the night as its Christmas and expected immediate bookings to be almost impossible due to parties etc. Operator was happy to take booking, said everything would be fine as we were booking in advance. Come time for the booked taxi to arrive and nothing shows up, when calling was told by an automated system that they were still trying to find a driver for our trip and there was no estimated time. Over half an hour later no communication from Blueline and no taxi so had to do what I wanted to avoid and try to book another taxi right when I wanted to go out. Unsurprisingly my booked return taxi never showed up either.
Always use these for my own needs if I can't drive on that occasion, for whatever reason. Great service, not expensive, polite and chatty driver and ability to track your car before it arrives. Wouldn't dream of using anyone else around the doors
Good taxi company, when you can get one. Two weeks in a row I’ve booked a taxi and two weeks in a row it’s not turned up. Last week my 5:45 booking turned up at 6:05 and last night my 5:45 booking still hadn’t turned up by 6:15 and they couldn’t give me a time that it might turn up because there were ‘no drivers in my area and a big delay.’ Surely the fact that you’ve booked a taxi for a certain time means that the taxi should be sent to your area at that time. Very bad service, I would definitely not use them if I needed to be somewhere on time/ urgently, E.g. airport. My taxi from last night is yet to turn up.
For years used to be great, but since post pandemic charge cards at will without authorisation. Absolute scam. Update. After seeing Blue Lines Response, 3 times I've had this happen now and never resolved. Twice bookings cancelled in advance no refund, and one I was charged for a ride someone else nicked off me. No effort to get in touch. So annoying.
Booked online day prior to travel. 10/12/22 taxi didn't turn up on time. Tried to contact company on phone, rang for more than 3 minutes but it was unanswered. Had to defrost the car at 7.20 am to drive to the station only just catching our train. 45 minutes later received a message to say driver unable to locate me at my address! My address is on a main road and not difficult to find. The driver didn't knock at my door as there was someone home to answer, I can only assume it didn't turn up at all. Very disappointed and angry that this company is so unreliable. If my call had been answered I could have been advised of any problems or had it resolved but even the basics are beyond you Blueline.
Booked a taxi through Blueline Taxis for a run to Newcastle Airport at 0500 on 05/12/2022 and gave 10 days notice. Quick forward > taxi didn’t arrive, they didn’t inform they couldn’t supply until 0510. Book at your own risk. An absolutely abysmal ‘non service’ Not to be trusted.
Ordered taxi. Did not speak to a human, quite an annoying automated service. Bloke arrived and demanded £10 in cash and will "sort the rest when we arrive at the destination". I obviously was not happy with that. Very odd behaviour and my whole journey is normally around £10 so felt very uneasy. I could not speak to anyone at blueline about this due to the automated service and the driver seemed to know it. I never leave reviews but had to in this instance. I'm a bloke in his 30s, imagine if I was a young girl alone. Will not use blueline again. He kept demanding £10 in cash as a deposit even when I refused.
Absolute shambles. I booked a taxi in advance for 11pm and got told to wait outside for it at 11:10pm when I called to check where it was. I waited for over an hour in -3 degrees and no one came. I called the service team more than once, one of whom just lied and said a driver was en route and would be 10 minutes but he couldn't tell me the make or model of the car when pushed... I managed to get an Uber thankfully. If there aren't the drivers, instead of stringing people along, I suggest the service team are honest... A simple "we can't get a driver to you right now, if you're not safe/warm/or are desperate to get home, please try another taxi firm too as they might get someone out to you a bit quicker". It's not rocket science; it's just choosing compassion over cash.
I booked a taxi a good few days in advance to be picked up last night at 11.15pm. At 11.30pm there was sign of the taxi, so I called Blueline and eventually got through on the phone to be told my taxi will be another 15mins which was disappointing. It appears that there is no point in booking in advance as it means nothing to them. Surely if I booked in advance I would be a priority booking but it appears not. Disappointing to say the least. Mind I must add that the driver who picked us up was excellent.
