Lovely clean place, the food is so good and so is the choice. Great value for money and friendly staff. Come here quite often. Nice relaxing place and they have a lovely garden area to sit out in when the weather is warmer. Well worth a visit.Service: 5/5

Food lovely and plenty of choice. Drinks expensive at nearly £4 for a pint of cola..Pub decor nice and clean but no room to swing a cat...you can bearly sit 2 on a table for 4...I think these are more school desk type...knives could do with a sharpen too....children running around and this is an issue as your so close to the next table..Nowhere to sit whilst waiting for your table, so don't arrive to early. Ladies toilet freezing...even in winter when it was icy outside...There is a rad but it's never turned on..it is bitter in there!!! ..also water in toilets cold when washing hands... All in all, worth a visit, but could be better..Staff a bit miserable too.
Cosy little pub, I went for the buffet at about 6:30 due to good reviews and the selection of food. The reviews are absolutely deserved, the food was great and home cooked or I'd be shocked if it wasn't. Service was spot on. No complaints at all. I've been told the Sunday roast is even better, so I'll definitely have to try thaylt as well.
Have visited The Blue Anchor on several occasions most recently to celebrate my sons birthday. Food always excellent, friendly and courteous staff. All in all a very enjoyable experience, would highly recommend.Service: 5/5

Friendly staff hot tasty food with lots to choose, I can't fault this place. I Don't understand why other pubs aren't copying them instead of closing? Update: visited this place agin on Saturday. The food and the place is still as it was so keep up the good work and thanks for a lovely dinner again!
Came here with my girlfriend for sunday carvery was the best lunch weve had in a long time food was fresh cooked very tasty well worth the money,staff wer professional and polite would highly recommend the blue anchor...
Fresh, home cooked buffet style meals with an amazing selection for vegetarians. Sunday roasts are better than any chain carvery you can go to. Prices are amazing for what you can get. Just make sure you book, especially on a Sunday.
