Beautiful pub with a great outdoor seating, simply stunning especially in sunny weather we have not expected less as its a sister pub to one of our favourites- The White Horse in Beaconsfield. Food is amazing, menu is extensive and dishes vary so everyone will be able to tickle their fancy very extensive gin menu as well staff were absolutely brilliant and made our stay very enjoyable. 100% recommended to visit!!!
Quintessentially English gastro pub. Insanely good food, beautiful countryside setting, very interesting history dating back to the 1700's. Wonderful service. I came out of a 2 year review-sabbatical to post this. I had the Potted Smoked Mackerel which was a wonderfully balanced dish, way lighter than I had expected with so many complementing flavours. Followed up with Fish Pie, which was again superb and way above average.
Had the most delicious meal here today with my sister, gosh my compliments to the chef, my steak was cooked perfectly , then my dessert was just so perfect as well. Excellent quality food also the lady was so polite who came over and asked about our desserts.

We had the most wonderful Christmas Day meal. The food was amazing, everyone we met / who served us was super friendly and helpful. The little touches like the Christmas card, quality Christmas crackers not cheap rubbishy ones! and the chocolates at the end - made a wonderful experience even better. MASSIVE thank you to all at The Leather Bottle!
Met up with a friend based on the reviews and had a long lunch. The staff were attentive yet not imposing. The food was delicious. Even though the menu doesn’t say about vegetables being part of the meal, there are. We ordered extra so sampled even more fare. There was nonalcoholic drinks and we had a bottle of lo-alcohol bubbly. The dessert menu arrived but there was no pressure to buy. We asked how long we could stay at our table - another four hours. More drinks were ordered. It was such a lovely place to catch up with friend. It is easy to recommend this gastropub.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. We were asked if anyone had any food allergies as we were shown to our table. The interior looked nice and was clean and tidy. The food was well presented and tasted lovely. Would definitely recommend.
It's only the second time I've been to the Leather Bottle, and like the first time the food was excellent, I had the mini pasty for starter and the lamb hot pot pie, with butter mash and veg for mains, 2 x flavour ice cream to finish. I'm not local to the area, just visiting, but will eat there again next time I'm here. Service was friendly and accommodating, thanks to you all
I enjoyed the food. The garlic bread with cheese is definitely something I would recommend getting, was one of my favourite items. The red pepper hummus with flat bread had a nice flavour and tanginess to it. The staff were friendly and welcoming as well.
A beautiful restaurant pub. The lamb roast was excellent. The pork belly was not great - no cracking and gravy was bland. The new young male waiter was great, the rest of the staff were surely, argumentative about the curdled old milk in coffee, unhelpful and unfriendly. We will not return based on the staff.
