If I could give this place zero stars I would. I have just moved to the area and have been trying to get an appointment for a couple of weeks to get more of my medication. My partner managed to get through to a doctor. Brilliant I thought, as he could book an appointment for me! However, when I went to the doctors it wasn't for an appointment with the doctor but with a nurse! So she couldn't even sort the medication out for me during the appointment. I went to the reception to request an appointment there, even if it was for a few weeks time. Refused! I've been calling every morning but as I work full time it is difficult to get on the phone at exactly 8am and so have not been able to even get into the queue! As a new patient you would think that they would want to make a good impression. I think I'm going to find a new doctors because this one is atrocious.
This surgery I personally avoid at all costs. Cannot contact without massive queues on the Phone. The nurse was supposed to visit our 92 year old mother but didn't bother turning up. gave up trying to book an appointment with a doctor. my mother has subsequently died now the surgery is being very unhelpful with the coroner he is very surprised at this surgery's attitude making him have to carry out a post mortem on a frail old lady who had COPD who had a chest infection and water infection and hadn't eaten or drunk anything for 7 weeks
Losing hope. 5 month of misdiagnosis on an extremely elderly person .Internal biopsy operation that wasn't needed and caused a lot of distress. Still trying to prescribe for original diagnosis of infection site.
Phone rings forever once you have managed to actually get through to the switchboard, and then you are met with the unhelpful rude receptionist, who tells you to try the next day as appointments are all taken. Not sure how many days you are supposed to leave it until you give up and bother 111. It really shouldn’t be like this . Your own GP should be more accessible to you . Having to reply on out of hours services as they are far more efficient than your own practise is dreadful, they are supposed to be a back up, not a go to . Blackwater you really do need to sort something out, if it was easy to change GP’s then I can assure you I would . Disgraceful
*** updated review *** Credit where credit is due …. I called the surgery today for an appointment. Called at 8am, held for 30 minutes and the automated system kept me updated. The phone was answered by a very friendly receptionist who simply asked me the issue to quantify my need to see the doc. Appointment booked for 10:30. What an improvement on the last time I called. Well done blackwater, clearly changes are being made, it just takes time for them to filter through and start making a difference. Thank you Jo ************ Disgusting service AVOID If you don’t work, don’t have children and hours to spend with nothing to do then this practice is for you!! If you work, have very limited time and have several responsibilities, don’t even try to use this doctors or pharmacy. It takes hours to get through on the phone, when you do eventually speak to someone they are all extremely rude and will put the phone down before you’ve finished speaking or need to ask anything further. I think the staff forget the role they work in and they are providing a public service. If I spoke to people as they do in my job I’d be sacked! The doctors, in my experience however are all professional and compassionate. The reviews and ratings shown for this practice should be causing someone headaches and yet no-one seems to care. Maybe it’s a tactical plan to make people go elsewhere and reduce the numbers attending.
Cant get through to make an appointment Tried calling 20 times but can't even get into phone queue. This means can't get a prescription review - so having to buy privately. Would be nice to have an opportunity to check medication still right - but not much can do if can't even get into the system to queue for an appointment. Work full time so don't have the option of sitting on the phone all day.
Absolutely awful surgery, do not listen to patients at all and perscribed my partner an over the counter drug on prescription which actually cost him more than is he had just bought it over the counter. Truly disgusting service and the place deserves clothing down. The receptionist on duty in the evenings treat patients with nothing but contempt. Edit.this is referring to the surgery I have also gone in numerous times and seen the receptionist with dark Curley hair sitting there allowing the phone to ring and looking at her phone
Called surgery and arranged a call back when next in the queue to be answered, brilliant I thought, I won't have to sit in a queue for too long. I received this call back and once through to reception the system then cut me off. Twice this happened. I tried later and was 6th in the queue!! I'll hold on I thought. One hour and 10 minutes later I was finally first in the queue. I held and held and held...how can one person take 10 minutes I thought. After 20 minutes and still on hold I gave up. it was 7.40pm so guess everyone had gone home. Why did they leave me holding???? So rude! The ONLY reason we stay with this surgery is the wonderful Dr Haegar.
such a poor service, staff are bound by a system that does not work and quite frankly in my opinion they do not care and class it as just a job and it is us the patients that suffer,the place should be closed down
How do you get a doctors appointment. Keeps saying que is full. Also I work so I don't have hours everyday to sit on the phone.
