Great place for a nice intimate meal. The atmosphere is very nice as the music and the decorations are well selected. The food is well prepared and the plates are of a good size. Their homemade coleslaw, is definitely one of the best I've had! The drinks selection is very good as well! The pub is in the main square and there are parking spaces in front of it. Quirk: the corner shop within the pub is fantastic. Also, if you want to bring your dog, this pub is pet friendly.
One of a kind restaurant, with amazing atmosphere , feels like you are inside Nautilus from Verne's book . You see for yourself. I usually pop in for quick pint or Delicious Ice creams, my kids adore them totally. To be honest Me and my Wife too as they delicious and big in size too. Restaurant offers also a nice selection of seafood and other dishes, but keep in mind it's hard to get a table out there as it's more and more popular. So booking in advance is not a bad idea. If great weather, try back garden , also available out there ,so if you feel claustrophobic, not a problem get one of benches outside and enjoy sun with your pint in hand or ice creams.
The place is amazingly designed! The service could be much better - my wife and I been asked if we'd like to share the portion, and explicitly mentioned that we want two portions, but waitress made an opposite. We haven't been asked for the burger's degree of doneness. After the meal arrived, we haven't been asked if we like it.
We came today to the Lobster Pot, I booked online and was a bit disappointed to go in and receive a table right next to the bar - the waitress offered to move us, but was shouted at by the manager that 'they weren't able to do that' so we accepted the table - it just meant we were right on the path to the wee shop with people coming in past us constantly and also half way through our meal two guys came in and propped themselves up right next to our table - fair enough, there's little bar space, it just meant that we could hear each other's conversation really well. As it was in the shade and near the door to the shop, it was also a very cold table so our food didn't stay hot for long and we were glad we brought jackets in with us, even though it was warm outside. There were tables around us that had been reserved, but no one showed up to take them and we weren't offered to get moved and I was a bit miffed when a couple with no booking turned up and got a lovely table by the window. The food was OK - the haggis fritters were delicious. I had a cheeseburger and it was standard with very little cheese on it. My husband had fish and chips and he said it was nice, but both his and my chips were not fresh. We had apple pie and ice cream to finish. The ice cream was lovely. The service was good - the waitress who served us was lovely and happy to help. Our experience today wouldn't stop us going back and i'd recommend it if I was in Blackness again.
A welcoming small place with staff who are both helpful and polite. The food was all great and the portions were large enough so I didn't need a pudding, great and interesting interior decor make this a worth while visit. I nice mix of young people, families and older patrons. Staff very quick and helpful so I can't fault anything here. Would come back cheers.
Quirky, cozy place with fantastic service. The lobster was tasty, although a little overdone for my palate. The twice cooked chips were delicious. I'd definitely return. Parking: Parking directly in front of the building. Likely to get a little busy during peak times
Absolutely gorgeous food, a huge variety to choose from with good-sized portions and prices, are average. Polite and friendly staff and a lot of history within the area. Would certainly recommend & we will be back very soon. Thank you all, I really enjoyed my birthday meal. XxFood: 5/5

It's a very nice place to have some rest after visiting the nearby Blackness castle. The interior is very joyful, themed after living at the sea shore. The staff is very friendly. As for the meals, we tried only the sweet part of the menu and enjoyed it.
Delicious! The lobster was so good and the butterscotch cheesecake too, yum, so tasty. My friend enjoyed the lobster pot burger and the apple pie. It was busy when we got there but the staff were great. The Lobster Pot is a nice treat.Food: 5/5
