Food great and staff very pleasant. The only small Issue I had was every time I wanted another drink I had to get up and go to the bar. I Don’t mind doing this normally but when you have waitresses you expect them to see if you would like another drink if your glass is empty. Or if they are very busy.
I st time here heard good and bad reviews….. greeted by a lovely log fire as we walked in escorted to our booked table for 8 prompt service from all staff Menus well laid out must say they looked pricy however don’t let that put you off the food was absolutely amazing hot fresh carefully cooked and tasted great actually didn’t see a bad point all night It was a poker nite too so plenty of atmosphere in there well kept pub highly recommend
Its a great country pub, we always visit when we are in the area. We come from Kent. We would highly recommend the Black Swan for its friendly staff, amazing food, lovely decor/paintings, beautiful garden and ample car parking. And we always have a game of pool too ! Food: 5/5

Had a lovely meal here on Friday evening. Quality food as always served piping hot, cooked to order, and good-sized portions. Unfortunately, we were too full to manage desert this time, but will on our next visit!
Slow cooked beef shin that wasn't tender and falling off the bone, not slow cooked then or left under hot lamps too long. Pulled pork that wasn't pulled. Maybe a bad day and will try again in future as my mum had an excellent meal the day before. Deserves a secimd chance.Food: 3/5

The ribeye steak was absolutely to die for! The menu can look a bit pricey but it was definitely worth paying for as the food and the service were both excellent. The dessert portions are very generous as well.
Lovely out of the way pub in a quaint village which serves tasty food. Very friendly welcome and a surprise aquarium that entertained the children.
Had a lovely meal here with son Nigel and his partner Shelley and Shelley's parents lovely garden to sit-in and have a drink after your meal dogs are welcomeFood: 5/5
