Had food here last night with my family, visiting my daughter in uni. Thoroughly enjoyed can highly recommend the fish and chips, and the scampi. Lovely atmosphere. Lovely clean pub friendly staff. We will definitely be back! Thanks all.

Great service and the food is very nice. Has approved loads and it feels like a safe environment to eat in.
Went for a pint here a week or so ago, name and I.D on entry due to covid. Cosy little pub. Table service at the moment. I believe they have now closed due to covid 19 rules.
Do tou want to chill with your friends? Even in late night ? Like to Have some chill beer and some liqueur? Of course black lion is the place for you. From the city centre its only 6 minutes away. Just take bus or car and have fun there ..
Another Community Pub serving good food, ales and drinks.
The doors are re-opening on September the 7th. Can't wait. Miss my local. Don't realise what you have til it's taken from you. Mark and Karen are loons but run a tight ship and deliver a fantastic all round experience. Good beer, good food, good times. Counting down the days. See you soon.
