My wife, myself and our dog visited the Black horse in early June we had been staying in Bradford on Avon- where for some reason most pubs were not doing food and those that were, were not dog friendly. A quick search on the Internet found us the Black Horse a few miles away in Trowbridge upon entering the pub we were surprised at how well furnished it was and especially how clean it was- this pub has shiny smooth polished tables not the beer sticky offerings of the majority! The welcome was warm even our dog felt welcome being greeted by the landlady who was obviously a dog lover. I ordered an all day breakfast my wife a vegetarian mushroom pie we were both impressed with the quality and quantity of our food the ONLY disappointing thing is that the pub is not in our own town in Worcestershire. I highly recommend this place
Fantastic place. Something for all tastes. Great food and service and reasonably priced. Big screen for sports, pool tables and a spacious beer garden. Dog friendly too. Emma & Ally brought the place back to life. Great atmosphere too. Ideal family pub.
My husband, myself and our two dogs visited this pub 3 times in early November. Staff were lovely and it is so dog friendly. Food was excellent and such good value - hence our returning 3 times! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
Credit to the team who work here. Always friendly quick and efficient with both food and drinks. Would recommend to anyone after a nice meal and pint. Keep up the good work Emma-Kate
Went here for a quick snack. Got 1 coke and crisps. Friendly staff, nice ambiance bit can not fully rate as I have not had a meal there. Update soon.
Been coming here for years, and its better now than its ever been. I've come in recently for my 30th and had the best burger. The managers after fantastic and friendly x
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Food is good and very inexpensive. Only downside was that the toilets were really run down and smelly.
Improved so much. Great value food and two well kept real ales. Would be good to see a guest ale too.
Fantastic friendly staff, who engaged with us and made us feel at home. Food was homely and to high standards. I highly recommend if anyone is in the area.
Went at quiet time of day, very impressed with surroundings, staff very polite and attentive, food very good and at reasonable prices. Would happily go again
