Best pub grub I've had in years. Really friendly staff too.

Wonderful visit had pints and chips which were clearly fresh and tasty. People were nicely separated for hygiene. The man who served us was knowledgeable about the ales and was okay with us all having massive camping bags. Would recommend.

A definite favourite when we're in Rothesay! Had a couple of pints of local ale and dinner, food was excellent, as always. Well set up for covid, and we were made to feel very welcome.

Nice locals pub on the sea front. Service pretty slow but perhaps just more relaxed out here in the Isles. Food was ok, I had a panini with salad for £6. Beer is decent

Nice traditional pub with friendly staff, nice surroundings and excellent food.

Lovely atmosphere in the black bull, friendly staff,  excellent food, dreadful shame they have to close at 8 pm. Hopefully sanity will prevail and we can all get back to some degree of normality in the not too distant future.

Great service, felt very covid safe. Large tasty portions. Smarter inside than out!
