Two stars for the really helpful lady on the phone today reference "applegate" she was very courteous, freindly and explained the reasons why BDC wont take fallen apples off an apple tree in the Garden Waste bin albeit science tells a different story. sadly the 3 missing stars are for the obnoxious jobsworth lady at the recycling transport depot sounding like she is a trade union rep/shop floor steward from the 1970s....manners cost nothing perhaps you should learn how to speak and deal with the public before speaking and dealing with the public. Overall this is my local council for over 25 years and they don't do a bad job to be fair but let's hope they turn down the planning applications for the proposed 800 houses!
Shocking lack of care for individuals, especially those who are at high risk. There is no safeguarding in place and they are happy to put individuals through extreme levels of unnecessary stress and uncertainty due to a severe lack of due diligence from staff. Second time in 5 days I’ve been in the exact same situation. No one likes to reply to emails, and no one likes to call you until the days about finished. Shocked at how an establishment is able to go on like this, won’t be long before the lack of safeguarding results in life’s being lost to mental health. The job is to help and assist people, not make their already difficult lives more difficult.
Very unhelpful people dealing with housing I've been spoken to without any empathy at all ,and had to discuss everything in a public area whilst in tears and distressed , every time I've been to discuss things I see a different person every time and they all tell me something different and I come out no better off and just upset. it would be nice to be treated like a human being with feelings by them instead of just an object , I've tried my very best to comply with everything they have ask me to do but I'm still no better off , and suffer with mental health issues due to my situation but no one there cares, about me as an individual , and have had letters from doctors , mental health people but they have all been ignored, in as much as it has made no difference to them , and hasn't been taken into consideration, Maybe they have never gone through bad times so have no understanding of how it can affect people and how to deal with it ,I think they should be trained better to deal with people as an individual,because I think some of them shouldn't even be working with people in their job if they don't know how to talk to them . Instead of being so matter of fact about things and uncareing, I hope someone takes notice of this complaint and it isn't just ignored like all the conversations and letters . From Joan keen
Awful. Agreed to take Leicester City Housing stock so will bulldoze beautiful sites like enderby leisure centre golf course
I've found them to be quite uncommunicative and aloof in the past, but the final straw came with the changes to recycling waste collections. Apparently, any cardboard left outside of a closed bin will be just left at the side of the road to be blown around the streets rather than chucked onto the truck for recycling. I still can't get a straight answer as to why this has been approved, despite the very obvious common sense issues surrounding it. Rather than encouraging me, the homeowner, to store this material we don't have a spare shed as you can appreciate!, you've just encouraged me to break it up and hide it in the garden waste and black top bin. It will then go off to landfill, or your oppos on the garden waste team will have to sort it. I know that the majority of my CT goes towards Council pensions, but I would like to think some of it is spent on actual services for residents.
Some of the people working in this council are very unprofessional and rude.
ABSOLUTE LYING SCUMBAGS, LEAVINGBA FAMILY DESTITUTE BECAUSE OF A COUNCIL TAX DEBT!! THEY MAKE UP FIGURES OF THEIR OWN AND DO NOT CARE ABOUT LYING OR ALTERING STUFF IN THEIR OWN FAVOUR!! IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE, NEVER EVER EVER DEAL WITH THIS COUNCIL... THEY ARE CORRUPT, MONEY GRABBING, SPITEFUL NASTY AND MAILICOUSLY CRUEL!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS, AND IF YOU HAPPEN TO LIVE IN THEIR AREA...MOVE!!
What a joke of a council! They changed their housing options system just under a year ago and I have since been unable to log in. I received an email advising of a delay and that's it. After calling today I have now been informed my application is one of THOUSANDS that didn't get transferred to there new system and I now have to reapply! To say I am frustrated is an understatement! At no point was I informed. And the excuse "how can we tell you when we don't know who is in the systems". Ridiculous!
Competence and customer service not really their thing. No improvement likely as there is no competition in local government. UPDATE : 11 Months on, it is still the same . They need visit other councils and see how things are done.
A council that thinks only of itself! New bin changes mean refuse is standing in the streets for weeks. Free car parks in Narborough are suddenly fitted with parking meters, forcing people to park on the road. They really don't have a clue.
