Bistro Italiano

We were staying in Durham and came across this small family run Italians and I must say The Food was amazing. We had a few starters and mains and all of it was freshly made and tasted great. Would definitely recommend and if I'm in Durham again will definitely be going again.

A beautiful out of the way traditional Italian restaurant. All of us enjoyed our meal. Had real flavours. Up a short flight of stairs. Great variety on menu.

Worth a bit of a walk from the centre for really good Italian food and drink. Friendly and relaxed atmosphere,and prices very reasonable in this expensive city. We both had the steak risotto which was superb, and there's a really good sweet menu. What's not to like!

Excellent. We chose the set menu and then a dessert after. My partner chose pate as his starter and I chose the mushrooms in garlic and white wine and both selected the pizza as our main. Plentiful and v tasty then finished with the luxury of dessert. Can only say I will definitely return when back in Durham

Lovely reseraunt, the food was delicious and every one was very friendly. The lemon sorbet was truly exquisite, sweet but had that wonderful touch of lemon. The pizza was amazing and I am definitely revisiting. 10/10 and I am very hard to please

The food was amazing! They have really good service and everything was delicious! We ordered two starters, one of them had haggis and the other one cheese, both incredible tasty. For the main we choose chicken. Even with dessert and two drinks we spend around £50 which is reasonable price. I fully recommend this place!

Been to many Italian restaurants and this by far was the strangest. Ordered a risotto and what came was poorly cooked rice in a weird gravy fishy tasting sauce. The bits of steak thrown in there were basically fatty off cuts of meat. A poor experience and would not recommend

Fantastic staff Food is beautiful.. Lovely warm and cosy place.. Would highly recommend.
