My experience at Jobcenter Plus Birmingham City Center was very positive due to the professionalism and empathy of the person AMS desk 32 who helped me. Unfortunately i didnt think this is what the people employed here do to show representing skills on being employed. I am currently on UC and have been coming here every month for follow up appointments each time its a different face. No matter how early or how late the appointments are they never seem to see you on time and main reason being is that the staff are either chatting laughing or on lunch breaks ...the centre seems to be filled with young graduates. Me being a middle aged women at 38 also came from a professional background and know the skills required in customer relations. None of the advisors i see here apologise for keeping you waiting. Your having to constantly ask reception to notify the person that your waiting and your appointment time is well over. Management should install cameras or trainee some of the employees here on time keeping aswell as meeting deadlines especially on how to speak to customers as there is never apologies but updates that they type up on their machine no real focus into your needs. God help this new generation who are struggling with the competition out there because the competition here in the Jobcentre the person hiring must have had a bad eye for selections.
