Great shop with really helpful staff, great range of hire bikes to choose from. We hired a Scott ebike for the day very reasonable pricing and top quality. Whilst out on the ebike Lucas squeezed a job in at short notice on one of our ‘analog’ bikes. He completed this really quickly enabling us to enjoy the bike for the rest of our holiday top man ! Thank you Lucas.
Shame with all recent publicity on this beautiful village, that one man's customer service can really potentially ruin a holiday. I went in with query about hiring couple of bikes, he was abrupt, disinterested, and rude. We had 2 friends arriving to join us on a bike ride. Sadly, we needed to use local so had no choice. My friends went in the next day, and I hoped that they might have had an improved reception. Sadly, they had the same appalling experience, to the point that we really felt we could not believe that this guy wanted any business. Again, rude, unhelpful, dismissive and disinterested. Ballater's otherwise professional, friendly and diverse business community is let down by just one man who should know better and treat human beings with a little more respect. Lets hope he is not there any more for the sake of other tourists hoping to have a brilliant break in the most spectacular part of the world P,S we obviously had the same guy as Jack Francis and a few others!! We recognised the attitude immediately!!
We had a lovely day cycling on the Deeside way, and then even returned for a break to the hotel and then back out again at night. Great way to see around the area. Wasnt sure re hiring the Ebike, but my partner really liked it and wish I had too. Would return and go further another time. Good no nonsense service and hire.

We tried to get in touch with them several times, months ahead. Never responded to my emails. Tried to call them, but got told the number were not in use anymore. When we finally ordered through their very confusing website and despite their lack of response, their text were, frankly, very rude and not helping at all. Just hours after we had ordered through the website, we unfortunately got told by our flight company thet our flight got canceled. They refused to give back our money. NEVER USE THIS UNSERIOUS, BLANT, RUDE AND MONEYGRAPPING COMPANY!!
Dan is a true professional. I’ve even traveling the world for a long time and it rarely occurs when you get a true genuine experience from a PRO. You have to be passionate about what you do in order to this kind of experience. The bikes were incredible and the views even better! Worth every penny. Thank you Dan! Youre the man!
Friendly helpful staff, great hire bikes and excellent advice.. Update they have put the price up!! To £40 for 6 hours it feels to expensive
Have been twice and both times the staff have seen me approach the shop and disappeared into the workshop and not come out to serve until I search them out, then service was quite abrupt, seem to want you gone asap
My wife and I were staying at the campsite at Braemar. Dan and Simon delivered and collected our bikes. We hired 2 electric bikes. They were amazing. You need to try these things. They go anywhere. Absolutely loved them. 2 nice guys and great service.
On of my derailleur gear wheels fell off a mile up Glen Tanar, took bike to another shop and the bloke told me it wasn't fixable economically - the young guy at Bike Station looked at it and the parts I'd picked up of the path, and offered me a bolt to try and put it together again - back on the road in 15 minutes!
